In the area of fast food Mexican restaurants, I always preferred Naugles to Del Taco and Taco Bell.

Back when I was a young Marine in 29 Palms we used to go to Naugles in Joshua Tree! Many times we walked through the drive through at night (no DUI for us) and they would still serve us. Food was good too.

Dick Naugles says: Prepare food fresh, serve customers fast, keep place clean.

The old Macho Combo burrito was what they were famous for. Also, they'd make a Naugleburger with as many patties as you wanted.

I got food poisoning from the Naugles in Twentynine Palms CA in 1987. I will never eat there again!

Bueno. Back in the day it was a favorite of mine.

For a tasty tummy filling meal, it was hard to beat a “Macho Combo Burrito”

(yes, I know that the surviving outfit, Del Taco has it, but it ain’t quite the same anymore)

Loved Naugles! way better than Del Taco/Taco Hell.
Food was fresh, not overly processed. The original macho burrito, yum!

Hopefully, this not only location and franchises will pop up.

Hit the one near Cal State Fullerton many a time in the late 70’s, early 80’s. Should be interesting especially if they are able to expand out.
