That’s why your Rotty won’t pass the cat on the stairs. :-)

I’ve never heard of a MRSA infection from a cat either. Hope your friend will be OK.

I’ve had a lot of cats and been scratched a lot. Bit only one time.

Never any infection ever.

As I write this I have three claw marks on the back of my hand.

I accidentally pushed down on my cat as he was sleeping on a bean bag like chair that he blended in with. I didn’t noticed him there sleeping. He reacted instinctively, jumped up and away, yowled and hissed, which he never does.

A bit later I notice three scratches down the back of my hand, relatively deep for cat scratches I hadn’t even felt it when it happened.

I washed my hands well with boraxo when I saw it.

No problem, no infection.

Yesterday the scratches were itchy.

Yeah. Cats can bite hard if they are freaked-out scared and go primal.

My dog once killed 1,000,000,000,000 cats in an hour. That makes me the toughest hombre on this here thread.

Your dog joined PETA?

I thought I was the only one silly enough to do that. :)

They may be little, but they don’t lack anything in fierceness.

I have a large Himalayan male who is impressive looking (even if he’s dumber than a stump). Just now we had trick~or~treaters come to the door as he was busy preening himself. You know - the legs splayed and one sticking straight up in the air. One 10 or 11yo boy asked, “What in the world is that cat doing?!”

I didn’t want to say exactly so I told him that the cat was “practicing his gymnastics”. The boys dad started laughing and the whole crew joined in - even a very puzzled boy.

****It took me a while to figure this out...sometimes you can pet a certain spot. Sometimes not. It depends on their mood. And they are SUPER moody.***********

Maybe they get PMS :O)

Eye roll indeed! There are only those who don’t understand cats, and these scientists definitely show that they are.

ANYBODY when properly motivated could be a killing machine, including those old smiling knitting grannies, ANYBODY. Operative word here is ‘motivated’.

And domestic cats are much smarter than what these scientists gave them credits for.

Old Lady: How do we even know Wendle isn’t posting from prison? People who abuse animals, particularly cats and birds, often wind up in the big house, usually as serial killers.
