NBC is worried Jimmy Fallon's drinking may be getting out of control after The Tonight Show host injured himself for a third time in four months, sources claim.

Last week the talk show host was spotted in New York City with band aids after injuring his hand at a Harvard party. Jimmy had been 'holding a bottle of Jagermeister' and greeting fans when he tripped over a woman who had bent down in front of him, People reported. He fell and landed on the broken glass.

It's the third time the star has been hurt and sources say NBC are worried about the party-loving comedian's drinking.

He probably drinks no more than Johnny Carson did in his New York City years, and unlike Carson, he’s apparently a friendly drunk. But he seems to fall and hurt himself fairly frequently, and that has to worry NBC. Plus, unlike back in the 1960s, everyone in the bar has a camera recording him.

Just more of NBC’s stupidity showing how inept their leadership is. They can slide into the abyss and never return as far as I am concerned.

I’ll give him credit where credit is due, he isn’t Colbert.

Then he should invite his friends to his apartment in New York City for drinks. Seems an easy solution.

Call me cynical, but I truly believe they are less worried about Jimmy than they are their investment, and top ratings spot.

Unless he’s able to make it shtick and go full on Dean Martin, expect changes to his contract.

If his ratings are high, they don’t give a damn.

Not much has changed since Ed McMahon, Johnny Carson, the entire Rat Pack nor George Goebbel (God rest all their souls). Ed and Johnny eventually cleaned up The rest? Nat really.

You know the entire Match Game panel (including Gene) got ripped while the show was filmed. If you see the later shows (they did 3 back to back) you can tell, but they were pretty funny. Rumor has it the same was true of Hollywood Squares.

IOW — nothing new here.

Fallon is an incredible talented guy...

He did a really impressive routine with Neil Young on his show...you can catch it on YouTube...

I hope the bottle doesn’t consume him...

Kimmel isn’t too bad, either.

after injuring his hand at a Harvard party.

Ummmm...a 41 year old married dad partying at Harvard. Probably not the best idea.

Totally true. Everyone on 70s TV seemed to be drunk out of their minds.

Not sure how THEY could pull it together for showtime.

For NOW, Fallon seems to be able to function after a night out.

But don't forget, even Johnny Carson got a DUI in the early 80s.

Jimmy better get it together, and fast.

Johnny was "unfireable".

Fallon is not.

After I watched Kimmel’s fawning Bernie Sanders Interview last week, I think he is just a less obvious Liberal.

I know Fallon is a Rat as well, but he has more talent in his messed up Finger than Colbert and Kimmel combined.

All these late night hosts are aiming to be the hippest, hottest of the lot.

Yet the Nielsen ratings inform them that they are mostly being listened to by an aging and dying off group of totally unhip senior citizens.

This has got to nag at them.

I'm surprised they're not all heroin addicts.

> Kimmel isn’t too bad, either.

Kimmel is funny but all of his guests are pretty much top dollar liberal celebrities. And many of the scripts have a liberal theme to them. The guy is entertaining. His guests not so much.

Fallon is getting to be my favorite. And I only started DVRing the late show a few weeks ago. I look to see who the guests will be and don’t record the leftie guests as I spend too much time talking back to the TV.
