I’m hoping he prosecutes Hillary for betraying national secrets.

Cruz was correct on the waterboarding question. President Bush authorized its use since it wasn’t included in the Field Manual (FM) for interrogations of the enemy and its use required special training.

“Trump would be in his element in negotiating with Putin.”

Reason enough right there to vote for Trump. We cannot fight on all fronts and Obama’s ostracizing of Russia must be reversed (and not with a cute gift from a stationery store).

SEER school used it.

But Cruz wasn’t right. It was a matter of trust with him.

I’d trust a captain on the ground more than a politician in DC on such a thing.

Alan West made a prisoner believe he’d get shot if he kept clammed up about vital information to lives of West’s battalion. He was kicked out of the army for it, but he was right.

I would put waterboarding in his hands in a heartbeat.

Key is taking out the front runner:
I’m Cruz supported but he had a good shot at taking on Trump and didn’t take it.
Like how Cruz supported use of military / cia policy on waterboarding as it existed before Obama, but stated it in a manner that liberals could not argue against.

Bush owned Trump on eminent domain.
Christie owned Rubio on readiness and talking points. but at same time Rubio is right, Obama knows what he doing

Trump was right on eminent domain. Keystone pipeline goes to PRIVATE refineries.

Cruz was awful on waterboarding.

I agree with you on the use and Alan West did what he could and saved lives. Combat commanders should keep the lawyers far to the rear and in the dark. In fact, I think any lawyer making legal determinations on actions in combat should have at least three years in a front-line combat unit at battalion level or lower.

The house is still there! Never has been bulldozed and the grandson is trying to sell it now and could not at $500.000. Trump offered her 5 MILLIONS - she refused!!! But the house is STILL there.

Battlefield lawyers are becoming political officers in the hands of congress, press, and administration.

I wouldn’t put any lawyer forward as a member of a battalion staff. A brigade lawyer is possible, but not as a law of war investigator. Only to be involved in actions initiated by the battalions.

Which candidate can go toe to toe with Hillry? Unless she checks herself in a mental institution over her email caper she will be the progressives nominee.

And she has an army already digging up anything and everything on each of the candidates.

Bush - can hardly mess with his ‘step’ sister-n-law.. Bush cannot even get eminent domain correct... he is all for it when it suits his pocketbook.

Kasich is part of that vast right wing conspiracy going back to the 90’s ... if there is any hidden dirt on him Hillry knows it.

Rubio -— Oh my goodness, that man loves the sound of his own voice. He is one of these that believes so long as he is talking he is winning. Hillary will mock him and he would repeat what he just said. He is a living ‘face-palm’.

Christy — Federal prosecutor history will come off as persecuting poor Hillry..

Cruz — Who knows which Cruz will show up...Evangelical Iowa Cruz or Supreme Court petitioner, New Hampshire Cruz ... Hillry will tell him as a Constitutional lawyer he knows he is not eligible to hold the office of president.

Dr. Carson — Private citizen .. Tooo nice and would sound like he was giving Hillry a psychological exam. Hillry would tell him he is out of his league and element because she has been ‘co-president’, New York Senator, and Secretary of State... and a woman to boot

Trump — He more than the others combined demonstrates a complete and total disgust of and for Hillry. So I am not sure how well he can control his contempt of her and yet expose her for the traitor she is. Trump did far better than I was expecting tonight. Exposing the RNC for a bunch of money grubbers was poetic. I think Trump is the one that Hillry would least like to face in a national debate.

if you equate the keystone pipeline to a casino parking garage has at it.

Cruz stated what the Military /CIA policy was before Obsma. front line never did enhanced methods of interrogation. I you have issue with that, your issue is with the military not just Cruz.

I think misunderstood what I was saying. A lawyer should hold some sort of combat leadership position for a few years before becoming a lawyer that has any legal duties related to combat; and yes, the should be no lower than the brigade level.

Requiring real world experience would help those lawyers understand the reality of combat rather than just book learning.

Did you get a sense that Cruz had an ear feed giving him information during the debate? There were several times during his answers that he obviously halted while answering. Most obvious was when he was responding to waterboarding (I believe) and he completely blanked mid sentence, then said something referring to McCain.I immediately thought,”someone is talking to him”

I just don’t find that Kasich or Carson ever really “say anything” that strikes a chord or that I can easily recall what they said.

Even though Congress banned waterboarding in the US military in 2005, it did not do so for the CIA

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/waterboarding-is-torture-i-did-it-myself-says-us-advisor-398490.html

We used it on our own troops in SERE school. Why wouldn’t we use it on others?

If Rubio is the nominee, I will have to vote for him because of pro-life but not much else in his favor.

Trump made the point later on FOX that sometimes a private use, like a casino or a factory that is a source of jobs for the community can create a dilemma. He said he would not judge the situation and he clearly tried to get the Vera to take a substantial price before his casino team brought the lawsuit. But he said it is a situation that warrants concern as sometimes the new jobs may make a good case for Eminent domain.

I believe he is in the right place on this, he certainly believes there is a place for eminent domain and a place to rule against it.
