Ben Shapiro Explains Why He'll 'Never' Vote for Trump
Breitbart ^ | 3/5/2016 | BREITBART NEWS

Posted on 03/05/2016 9:58:43 AM PST by 20yearsofinternet

While co-hosting his KRLA 870 AM and KTIE 590 AM radio shows in Southern California, Shapiro said:

"As you know, I’ve been agonizing on air over whether I would ever vote for Donald Trump. And I’m starting to come down firmly in the #NeverTrump camp. I will never vote for this man. I will not pull the lever for this man. I will not pull the lever for him in a general election or in a primary. It’s not going to happen. And the reason is that if conservatives never say “no” at some point, then they’re never going to have the opportunity to say “yes.” Because the logic of the Republican Party is, “the conservatives are going to be forced to vote for whomever we choose, that whomever we put out there, Sen. John McCain or Mitt Romney or Donald Trump, we’re going to put that person out there and we’re just going to make you vote for that person because they’re better than Hillary Clinton, or better than Barack Obama.” If you don’t say no at some point, gang, you’re never going to get a nominee to whom you can actually proudly stand up and say yes. You’re always going to be the sucker, because they can just take your vote for granted."

Asked later in the show about the possibility of Hillary being elected if conservatives failed to show up for Trump, Shapiro stated:

"Am I willing to risk a Hillary presidency not to vote for Trump? The answer is yes."

We are never going to win without the help of the 20% of the ruling class who are not liberals.

So what?

Shapiro has ONE VOTE. Just like the rest of us... his vote is NOT heavier or worth more or clad in gold. It’s ONE vote...

Get over it Shapiro - your vote’s not worth more than ours or less... so do whatever the hell you want to with it.

I believe this is the establishment lawyer radio guy.

I can see this attitude if this were Paul, but Trump or Cruz gets a lot of things straightened out before we collapse.

Ben Shapiro attended Harvard Law School, the same place that state sovereignty-ignoring, pro-gay marriage activist, pro-EPA Chief Justice Roberts did ...as well Ted Cruz.

"Who else are were Harvard Law School thugs: JFK, Obama,Cruz and ?."

For starters, Justices Ruth Ginsburg, Anthony Kennedy, and Steven Breyer also attented Harvard.

Note that Justice Scalia (RIP) also attended Harvard. But I think that he would have been better off defending the Constitution if he read FR.

He’s a brilliant debater. Watch his youtube videos

He's a *master* debator.

Our society is governed by rhetoric, not logic.

Read up what Vox Day hast to say about it. Start with his book

SJWs Always Lie and go from there.

You probably won't like it, it's strong medicine.

HInt: for all of Dershowitz' praise of Cruz, how much change has he actually effectuated even within his own chamber, the Senate?

Trump is right: you have to deal -- and I'd rather get the half a loaf, rather than not only getting nothing, but having to surrender some of what I'm trying to preserve, which is all the GOP has given us, even those who ran while mouthing conservative principles.

I am beginning to suspect Cruz is a GOP-e plant, designed to self-destruct in order to discredit conservatism for good...much as Goldwater (remember the "Daisy" commercial which I believe only ran *ONCE*) gained the GOP brand for DECADES?

As it is, nobody can *ever* accuse Trump of being a redneck good ole' boy know-nothing. He's a Yankee tycoon: but that helps him appeal to nationalistic *pride*. ("Richer than thou" is not as offensive as "holier than thou" to an electorate raised on Twitter and the Kardashians.)

It’s distressing to hear some conservatives say they would rather see Hillary be president than vote for Trump.

Any "conservative" who says he would rather see Hillary be president than vote for Trump, is somebody I will no longer consider a conservative.

No matter what they say in defense of their decision, I will, from that point on, no longer regard them as worth listening to.

Thanks for the reality that is still valid after thousands of years.

Trump continues to flush them out.

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

Marcus Tullius Cicero

If you care about real Conservatism, then you should care about what Shapiro thinks.

I do not care about the thoughts of anyone willing to allow a Hillary presidency. No matter how brilliant people think they are, no matter how much people label them "real conservatives" (and thus calling any who disagree "not really conservative").

Voting for Trump is not just giving the middle finger to the establishment, but flipping off the country as well

You're right, but I will hold my nose and vote for Trump anyway. I too swore I wasn't going to vote for that supreme jackass, but my wife held me to my previous promise to vote for the least objectionable candidate.

And in this benighted country with the other two candidates (Sanders, Clinton) being leftist wackos, Trump is the least worst candidate. Hold your nose and vote for him.

Okay Ben, thank you for letting us know. Can someone please start a thread of the names of the Republicans with this attitude.

A thread should be started.
