Ben Shapiro Explains Why He'll 'Never' Vote for Trump
Breitbart ^ | 3/5/2016 | BREITBART NEWS

Posted on 03/05/2016 9:58:43 AM PST by 20yearsofinternet

While co-hosting his KRLA 870 AM and KTIE 590 AM radio shows in Southern California, Shapiro said:

"As you know, I’ve been agonizing on air over whether I would ever vote for Donald Trump. And I’m starting to come down firmly in the #NeverTrump camp. I will never vote for this man. I will not pull the lever for this man. I will not pull the lever for him in a general election or in a primary. It’s not going to happen. And the reason is that if conservatives never say “no” at some point, then they’re never going to have the opportunity to say “yes.” Because the logic of the Republican Party is, “the conservatives are going to be forced to vote for whomever we choose, that whomever we put out there, Sen. John McCain or Mitt Romney or Donald Trump, we’re going to put that person out there and we’re just going to make you vote for that person because they’re better than Hillary Clinton, or better than Barack Obama.” If you don’t say no at some point, gang, you’re never going to get a nominee to whom you can actually proudly stand up and say yes. You’re always going to be the sucker, because they can just take your vote for granted."

Asked later in the show about the possibility of Hillary being elected if conservatives failed to show up for Trump, Shapiro stated:

"Am I willing to risk a Hillary presidency not to vote for Trump? The answer is yes."

Ben Shapiro attended Harvard Law School, the same place that state sovereignty-ignoring, pro-gay marriage activist, pro-EPA Chief Justice Roberts did. So Harvard Law School-indoctrinated Mr. Shapiro basically supports the corrupt Washington cartel imo.

Do we really care that Ben Shapiro will never vote for Trump? Has anyone lost one meal over his claim? Has anyone lost a moments sleep?

Survival of our nation subordinates ideology. A Hillary presidency puts the very notion of conservatism at risk. A stand against Trump that favors Hillary puts free thought and gun ownership in jeopardy and invites leftist fascism. At least Trump’s core motivation is not total destruction of America.

The NeverTrump camp will ensure two things:

Massive GOP losses in the General election (down ticket).

And...

Everyone, including Trump and the Democrats will know that Trump can win without them. But, they cannot win without his supporters.

If one thinks strategically, this is a suicidal move by the Establishment Republicans. It ensures their banishment from the party to derisive laughter.

There's also a small camp that will not vote for Trump because he is not pure enough...either Conservative Orthodoxy or Morally. They do so out of conscience.

An admirable position, but it also relegates them to a losing faction without significant influence on the outcome.

But it is quite alright that you, and your ilk, have for years told the base to shut up, hold our noses, fall in line and vote for your approved loser candidates.

Punk.

It’s distressing to hear some conservatives say they would rather see Hillary be president than vote for Trump.

Think back a few years and tell me what is the difference between that, and some conservatives who said they would rather see Obama be president than vote for Romney?

This the same as it was in 2012. Some of the very same FReepers screaming vote Trump no matter what screamed “I’ll never vote for Romney, I’m tired of having to just vote against someone”, “I would rather see four more years of Obama than elect a Mormon”, “I will only vote for a conservative from here on”. What the hill is going on here that conservative principles count for so little now? Or is it that the trolls don’t care so long as they get to see blood?

Trump’s candidacy reminds me of when Arnold ran for governor. What did people really know about Arnold and his convictions besides his public persona, not much. To think republicans are willing to vote for a guy who supported Hillary’s run for senate and president is a head shaker.
