Florida voters "fed up" with Trump and Clinton speak out CBS News March 18, 2016, 7:05 AM
Voters in the key swing state of Florida are sharing their frustration about their options in the 2016 presidential race. A focus group comprised of Republican and Democratic voters who oppose both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump offered a revealing look at the anger toward the front-runners in both parties.
Clinton and Trump share the distinction of being among the least-liked candidates.
"I would rather not vote than vote for either one of these candidates," one woman told CBS News contributor and Republican strategist Frank Luntz, who led the group at the Orlando Public Library. "And it pains me to say that, because I feel it's my right as a member of this democratic society to be able to vote. But given those two candidates, I can't vote for either one of them."
"Why none of the above?" Luntz asked.
"I just think that none of the-- either party doesn't deserve my vote. They're not giving me what I feel we need as a country," another woman explained. "So why give the support to someone who's not gonna do what I need them to do for me and my family?"
"I don't believe Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton really care about the American people. I don't trust either of them. I don't think they are presidential," one man said.

Bernie Sanders supporters?
To CBEEESS: to quote the infamous first AA president...”we won”.
I never waste my time watching this lame attempt by Fox management to appear "democratic" and "giving John Doe his say". The show is just pathetic unless you buy the contrived pap being sold to you by huckster Klutz.

If she didn’t vote for JEB she has no grounds for complaint. If she did vote for JEB, she’s a fool.
“Luntz is a putz”
If you make enough phone calls, and reject enough people, you can eventually put together a ‘focus group’ to say whatever you want it to say.
Luntz is a PROFESSIONAL at that...but even that skill is not working as planned in defeating Trump.
Yep. Went to the caucus and it was...
...a waste of time.
You playin' music? Wish you could have played in that big meadow!
The experts pretend to be experts on the news, it is almost like an acting job. The networks sell commercials to gain a profit and pay the so called experts. The people who watch are addicted to watching the experts in the media. The people who watch are hypnotized by the so called experts and their heads are pumped with sophisticated commercials to trick them to buying things they do not need. Lots of fools are addicted to watching predictable garbage.
“They aren’t Presidential.”
Yeah, well if someone does act “Presidential,” then the media digs into every last detail of their lives and hangs them out to dry. There is NO ONE on this planet who is as perfect as we would like our President to be.
Hillary pretends to be the Savior of this country. But we know she will sell out Americans, get Americans killed, lie, cheat, steal, kill... you name it. With Hillary, we get the Clinton way of life: “I didn’t inhale” and “I didn’t have sexual relations with that woman.”
With Trump, he DOESN’T pretend to be perfect. His faults are out in the open for all to see, and he isn’t ashamed of them. With Trump, we get Trump’s way of life: “Not only did I inhale, I manufacture and import the stuff,” and “Not only did I have sexual relations with that woman, I had sexual relations with and married ALL THREE SMOKIN’ HOT WOMEN.”
Trump isn’t perfect, but I’ll vote for an imperfect Conservative all day long, rather than sit home and hand the election to Clinton or Sanders.
I think you’re on to something there psychologically.
It’s why movies, soap operas etc are popular for their so called thrills but also because people know a resolution/relief is coming.
For those “focus groups” I swear they go out on the street and look for slack jawed half wits for the shows.
“Skinnerian eagerness” I have never heard this term before, I think i know the meaning, but can you share it so I understand your intent ? :)
I guess I made it up on the spot but I’m sure it’s been coined somewhere prior to this.
I simply meant that people are conditioned to be eager to please, to sound intelligent/informed even when they are not, and to placate the herd by not appearing or sounding too strident.
A ‘focus group’ merely draws these traits out in spades. Every idea and action is pushed toward the soft, squishy, nonthreatening middle where it is colored a safe shade of beige. Unfortunately, this false consensus is sold as Holy Writ by Luntz, Rove et al who tell us that the GOP and conservatives should take baby steps cos lots of people think we’re scary.
Luntz and his dial twisting are especially odious. He reduces any speech on any subject to a pointless game of buzzword bingo.
Meanwhile the first black president is jailing political prisoners, dragooning ‘free’ citizens into another Ponzi scheme masquerading as health care and his fellow lefties are eliminating (not redefining) marriage. They’re even attempting to claim that the biological differences between the sexes don’t really exist.
But our focus group oracles still tell us that being nice to fence-hopping, disease-ridden illiterate dole scroungers is the way forward. Their methods are flawed, their advice even worse.
*applause*
Fatty Lunch is a BIG fraud and hasn’t forgotten that Trump wouldn’t hire him after been taken to the cleaner!!!
Loved President Ronald Reagan, but he never built a business.
Reagan actually was a professional politician most of his adult life, with a big mouth like the Canadian Anchor Baby, however, he was an AMERICAN BORN CITIZEN
Regan NEVER had the skills to built a business EMPIRE worldwide.
Reagan’s hair never show one strain of GREY, wonder why and how?
Reagan was my favorite President until NOW
Fatty Lunch’s gatherings are paid participants and rigged !!!
Was curious if you were referencing the work of B.F Skinner, behavioral psychologist. I liked your phrase even if it wasnt.
