This is one of my favorite Orchestral Music pieces of all time. I know every note of this.
I found this to be a particularly lovely version, and the camera work highlighting the members of the orchestra is nice too!

Just a little break from politics.
And now for something completely different:

I LOVE The Moldau!
I’ll check it out! :-)
Thanks! I will look into those.
You wouldn’t have any links by any chance, would you?
Not as good as Giusseppe Taddei on the classic Giulini performance. Lacks expressiveness.
Yes, I’m a tough customer.
What I have is 20 vinyl records, that’s my source.
I was thinking of doing that at next Tuesday’s open Mike Night! HAHAHA
AHHHHH...VINYL!!!!! (SIGH)
THOSE WERE THE GOOD OL’ DAYS! :-)
What a voice! Incredible range. Go for it! :)
Yes, the plot is wrapped around an orchestra player who gets set up by the CIA - comedy with Tom Hanks & Jim Belushi. Old, but funny...
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
Her technique was really good.
I have about four octaves, but I love my lower register best. I think I was what is called a ‘Dramatic Soprano” but as I have gotten older, I have become a True Contralto.
I was just listening to some very old recordings of Van Morrison and Mick Jagger, and their voices have darkened with age too.
So I sing a lot of Van and Stones in the original keys, even though I am a gal.
That sounds good! I’ll check it out.
Once I get settled in my new place I will set up my Netflix account again.
I am glad you enjoyed it. Maybe I should make this a regular thing...people have really responded!
You’re blessed. I love opera, classical music, jazz and rock. From the time that I was a child, music has kept me mesmerised.
Absolutely!
I like the same things you like!
Also Blues, Reggae, and weird Gypsy Music, Central Asian Stuff, and Russian Folk Songs. LOL!
Maybe once a week, once I get set up in my new place. (Right now, I am camped out in a corner of my deceased Mom’s two-family, and living out of boxes waiting for the “closing” so I can get on with my life.)
Yeah, those singers knew how to sing Mozart expressively. Vocally, that performance was never really topped on all the subsequent recordings.
I love music. From the time that I was very young, I loved classical music and opera. From that point on, I found that other forms were also very appealing. It’s always been an important part of my life.
