Serious Question for Cruz Supporters (VANITY)
04/14/2016 | Les Dowrey

Posted on 04/14/2016 12:42:16 PM PDT by LesDowrey

If Ted Cruz were to win the GOP Nomination on the 2nd ballot or further down the line, he will have won the GOP nomination based on STOPPING Trump, not SUPPORTING Ted. That's not really a great way to win is it? Also, if he couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, how will he beat Hillary?

How does one “win” corruption?

Let’s assume for a second that Trump truly lost to “corruption” instead of not understanding the rules.

If that is the case, how do his supporters then expect him to fight and win “corruption” in DC?

Honest question and not meant as an attack on you. But what happens when a President Trump runs afoul of the Constitution or the Separation of Powers on his path to making America Great Again?

You may be correct, “if he the nominee”. Now name someone that will crush Clinton in the fall,
in your opinion. Can you do that for us and maybe furnish a couple of reasons that would happen.

Any GOP nominee is going to have a difficult time. For example, carrying CA was easier for the GOP at one time than it is today. In fact, I’m not convinced it can be done

I’ve been to one of Mr. Trump’s YUGE Events and guess what? Women comprised at least half of the attendance!

You may not want to believe the polls but facts are facts.

One, maybe two or three I could dismiss. But they all say the same thing

No one said it had to go the second vote!

The nomination was not decided ,UNITL the convention, which means it was a convention battle.

So, try doing some actual thinking instead of doubling down on your ignorance.

If Trump wins the nomination the entire party goes to pot. And yes, Trump loses the election as well. If Cruz wins the nomination he has a chance to beat Hillary and the party will not be decimated.

It was neither contested nor brokered.

My point on it being good that it was Ford who took the fall is that it would have been Reagan who lost.

Yes, probably no Republican would have gotten elected in 76 after Watergate.

We were wiped out in Congress.

The majority of Republicans also do not support Ted Cruz. Why is this always ignored?

If, If, If......Ted first has to walk into the convention with more delegates... fat chance. Unless you’re talking about just throwing away all the actual voter votes. Are you?

Spoken by a supporter of the guy that can not break 38%.

38% LOL!

NV: Trump 46%; Cruz 21%
Al: Trump 43%; Cruz 21%
Ga: Trump 39%; Cruz 24%
Ma: Trump 49%; Cruz 10%
Tn: Trump 39%; Cruz 25%;
La: Trump 41%; Cruz 38%
Hi: Trump 42%; Cruz 33%
Ms: Trump 47%; Cruz 36%
Fl: Trump 46%; Cruz 17%
Il: Trump 39%; Cruz 30%
Mo: Trump 41%; Cruz 41%
NC: Trump 40%; Cruz 37%
Az: Trump 46%; Cruz 28%

Your 38% meme is a typical Cruzian lie! Trump is kicking the Cuban-Caanadian's ass everywhere the people get a chance to vote!

Judgmental much?
You don’t know me at all.

I reject any cloaking of religion in politics because I am well aware of the holes being punctured in our legal system to allow an Imam to run for President and win in my lifetime. If enough voters are Muslim, who is going to stop this person from doing the same thing Cruz is doing, complete with Christian-based laws, but only do it under Islam? Don’t you wonder why CAIR is so damn quiet about that?

That is why I was vehemently opposed to religious charter schools. It’s one thing to give tax money to a Christian school, but don’t think for a minute that Islamic school is not going to sue for equal protection under the law to spread his message.

Some of us Christians can think broadly and not govern under our own personal opinion of what we WISH could be.

“If that is the case, how do his supporters then expect him to fight and win “corruption” in DC?”

It is much easier when you have the power of the presidency.

>> The majority of Republicans also do not support Ted Cruz. Why is this always ignored? <<

It is true that Ted Cruz is not the first pick of most Republicans. But he is regarded as acceptable by most. 70% of Americans (obviously mostly Democrats and Independents, but necessarily a large portion of Republicans) dislike Trump. Only 53% dislike Cruz. That’s still high for someone trying to win an election, but unlike Trump, it’s much lower than Clinton’s.

Insanity: electing DC insider Ivy League lawyers owned by special interest over and over but expecting a different result each time.

Because Trump has America behind him. GOPe fears Trump because he can hurt them. They do not fear Cruz...

You mean he is the SECOND choice of most Republicans and becomes the final choice IF the GOPe can engineer a defeat for one of its own candidates for President.

Do you think that Trump supporters are all going to (en masse) take that lying down. There is already a Reuters/IPSOS poll that says fully 1/3 of Trump supporters would desert the whole damned thing. That’s enough to cost the GOPe in ANY national election.

Obviously the polls you cite ignore reality of the voting public.

“They do not fear Cruz...”

They hated Cruz because he was threatening to them, but now that he needs them they have him by the short and curlies.
