Mormon’s are being told by their leaders to support Hillary.
I KNOW this from Mormon friends who I trust.
I suspect a deal has been cut giving power to Utah in some future capacity far beyond simply giving Romney a ambassador position under Hillary.

Mormons have tended to be conservative BUT due to a strain of thought that they are trying to convert everyone in the world to Mormonism they have been VERY soft-headed about illegal immigration.

Utah was one of the first states to allow illegals to obtain drivers licenses, a move that shocked me at the time some years ago — until it was explained to me that they just look at everyone as another soul ready to be converted. So they don’t really care about upholding US laws and standards when the focus is upon mission work both domestically and abroad.

Uhh. That’s not the sense I intended my comment. The desire to convert heathens is a good reason to favor immigration. And I wish my church would take proselytizing as seriously as the LDS does. I just don’t think the potential upside merits the risks and costs of immigration.
