Just got this photo layout on Maine Coon Cats.
Majestic is an understatement!
Kitty Freepers enjoy,,,,others too
Bijou is off the wall gorgeous.
Break her back leg, it worked on my cat.
Seriously tho, when I adopted my cat she was morbidly obese and weighed in at 15 lbs. One night she attempted to jump up on the bed but didn't make it and she fell back and broke her leg. Surgery was require and a rod was inserted in the leg to hold it and a piece that had broken off, in place while it healed.
I put her on a diet of Hill Prescription Diet cat food ever since and she's now at about 11 lbs........She's still just a little tubby but has been healthy her entire life with only one trip to the vet for an eye infection.
As a side note, since she's an indoor cat that doesn't like to go outside, I don't have to get her shots.
Our Maine coon is trim under her ball of fluff. She gets 2 small cans of healthy cat food a day. There is no healthy cat food at grocery stores and kibble is always unhealthy. Weruva is a great brand and not bad cost wise. She’s 12.
Unlike others mentioned here, she was a terrible hunter when we used to let her go outside. At the time our other cat was a rescue who was spayed so early that all the other kittens in her litter died. Rescue people spay at a dangerous age sometimes. And that cat killed everything she found. Hummingbirds, lizards, huge birds, rodents, butterflies, you name it. Popoki had trouble catching a spider. But she is beautiful! (Pic above)
Me too! My best had one named Crockett. He went to kitty heaven sometime ago unfortunately.
I believe Ragdolls are the biggest.
Omg, laughing. You are describing Popoki. Beautiful, loving, never gets enough petting, “force-pets” our hand when we aren’t petting her, but CLUELESS. Lol.
She is just gorgeous!!
I am sorry for your loss. May Gd send you a new kitty soon.
All my kitties (3 over the years) were strays or hard luck cats & I always felt like we were “destined” to cross paths; however, I have wanted a Maine Coon for decades. If I deliberately set out to get another cat, it will be MC.
What a beautiful calico kitty!
We’d like to get one of those but it would outlive us. The cats we presently own will expire before we do.
I have a small formerly feral female (was born under a neighbors shed by a feral mom... My Brittany had her cornered in my backyard so I took her in when she weighed 1.5 lbs.).....extreme long grey hair streaked light and dark bars. The bars form the letter M on her forehead. I was told it probably had Maine Coon blood. She is not a huge Maine coon size....just markings and color.
Reminds me of the cast of CATS costumes, on Broadway.
My little fattie is on a $40.00 bag of food from the vet. Her coat looks better than ever, but she just can’t stop gaining. She looks like a fur ball with legs.
Uhhh... looks like my ball of fluff somewhat.
Miss Olivia is my Maine Coon tabby. Miss O is large and in charge.
Is that Popoki in post 40? BEAUTIFUL! Give her a pat for me. And I do remember the sad thread about your dear Ciel. I hope your memories are holding you.
This Muff Puff is huge. I’d take her to a vet for grooming, but just getting her into a crate and then LIFTING it is tooooooo much for my bad back. I’m presently looking for a mobile groomer. And I’d take a pic of her to post here, but I don’t think she’d fit into the picture!! When she lies on her back with her paws just flopped and that long tail stretched out, she must be 3 feet long at least!!
Uh oh, Our last rescue is one. We were just trying to figure out the breed last night. All of his hair sticking out made me comment that he looks like he was hit by lightning, So we named him ZOT!
He also has a suckling problem with earlobes. God help us if he gets as big as some I have been looking at.
