Exactly. Which made it even more unpredictable and dangerous.

That is an easy statement to make by someone who has never wrestled with a person on pcp.

The others did not have the same time on-scene as the first officer and were not first-hand observers of his actions where he returned to the vehicle, ignoring lawful orders and a drawn weapon. An unknown factor is whether those other three had the same training as the first officer on recognizing individuals who were operating under the influence of chemical enhancement like PCP. This could have caused them to not perceive the situation the same as the first officer. But a the end of the day her perception, such as it was, turned out to be false. There was no weapon. There was no threat, to her or others. There is a man who is dead and who shouldn't be. She made a horrible mistake and the charges she is facing now is no different than those that you or I would have faced for killing someone.

Some good news for Officer Betty, but not sure it will help her all that much.

Good riddance. The cop did civilization a favor, but society’s death wish, in a handful of deep thinkers, wins again.

Of course, Mr. Crutcher would be just another happy motorist, out for a drive with his drug-fueled demons. No threat at all.

Seriously? Seriously. You said yourself he was a threat merely because he was on drugs. So then why wait? Why not shoot on sight?

Lol, you are a dumbass. I'll defer to your expertise in that area.

Yeah lets just shoot everybody who acts weird. *rolls eyes*Of course not!
Wait until the weirdo shoots at you, and hope he's a lousy shot.
