Lola Albright, an actress and singer perhaps best known for her role as Edie Hart on the Peter Gunn TV series, died  on March 23, 2017 at the age of 92.

From the Wikipedia article:

Albright's motion picture career began with a bit part in the 1947 film The Unfinished Dance, and gained notice in the 1949 film Champion. For the next several years, she appeared in secondary roles in over 20 films, including several 'B' Westerns.

Albright's roles in major films included Elvis Presley's 1962 film Kid Galahad; the 1964 French film Les Felins (director René Clément), and the 1967 western epic The Way West...

In 1958, she was cast on Peter Gunn, the television detective series produced by Blake Edwards and scored by Henry Mancini. Albright played Edie Hart, a nightclub singer and the romantic interest of Peter Gunn (Craig Stevens)...

I have been watching Peter Gunn on Amazon.

Still on first season.

“Mother” is a hoot. She had a very rough voice when she sang..

The bartender was uncredited by he was a Producer of some sort.

My wife and I are watching Peter Gunn for the first time. Lola is quite pretty and appears to be singing Henry Mancini's music. The episodes in this first season are from 1958.

RIP.

Mr and Mrs North is on Prime.

It was a newspaper column, book, Broadway show, on radio, and television.

It is an interesting look into that time. Jerrryyy told her what to do, she disobeyed..got into trouble..solved the crime in the last few minutes..and then went back to loving wife at the very end.

Jerrryyy was in that monster movie..The Black Lagoon.

Sometimes old shows are interesting just to see the difference in today versus way back when.

Many episodes of 77 Sunset Strip were on youtube a few months ago. Mrs. JohnnyP went back to watch one and they are gone. Just some short clips. I hate when that happens.

We watched some of the Peter Gunn episodes on youtube as well.

Yes, Lola was pretty, but her relationship with Peter Gunn was going nowhere. It was boring about the third time they met out back of the club.

I read that she was actually married to the piano player.

I will give you a tip to watch it.

I watch Dark Shadows. But there is a slice of time where you can’t view it on youtube without paying.

I searched around and found a service to watch it on....also has 77 sunset strip

https://www.ovguide.com/tv/77_sunset_strip.htm

YOu have to pay to watch Hulu but OVguide plays their Dark Shadows stuff using their service. Don’t really know the details on how that operates.

Sometimes OVguide doesn’t have one of the episodes...so I searched around. My public library streams some shows via service but you can only do so many a month.

My favourite interpretation of "Day In, Day Out" (shame, I don't think she ever recorded it any other time?):

Thank you, I will check it out.

We gave up cable two years ago, so we watch youtube using Chromecast.

We have amazon prime but haven’t tried to watch anything on it yet.

Wow, Lola was yummy. I looked her up after seeing her on Burke’s Law a few months ago.

Here she is in a movie that she thought was her best work. She plays a cougar that has eyes for the son of the super of her building. It’s three short clips, not the full movie, though. Darn.

Apparently she works as a stripper out of town, so she doesn’t ruin her rep with the neighbors.

Don’t think OVguide will work for 77 sunset strip. Maybe it has to be on hulu for you to be able to see it on Ovguide.

Not on Amazon Prime.

probably could get it at your library but I don’t do that anymore because of paranoia over bed bugs!

You will find lots of things of Prime.

If you liked Breaking Bad...”Walter” actor produces and is in Sneakey Pete.

I had a boyhood crush on Lola. Rest in Peace. Julie London was next... album covers. Maybe it was the voice. Patricia Neal too.

Awe.. Lola Albright, a very pretty actress with that easy, laid back persona, on screen. I loved her. Have not seen her in decades.

I did do a duo tap dance in about the 8th grade, with my best friend, to the Peter Gunn theme song, however. I still remember those steps, incidentally. LOL.

Thanks for posting EveningStar.

Rest in Peace, Lola.
