Michael Moore: I Want Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for President in 2020
Breitbart ^ | May 2 2017 | Jerome Hudson

Posted on 05/02/2017 12:54:50 PM PDT by drewh

Documentary filmmaker and leftist activist Michael Moore hopes wrestling superstar-turned Hollywood A-lister Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson takes on Donald Trump as a Democratic candidate for president in 2020. “Run the Rock! Run the Rock. Who do you want for commander in chief? I want the Rock! It would scare anybody that would hurt us,” Moore told Variety in an interview published Monday.

“Think about how safe we would be if the Rock was president,” Moore continued. “Not Vin Diesel! The Rock. Or Liam Neeson, but Liam Neeson can’t run because our Constitution says you have to be born here. So who’s the American Liam Neeson that we could run? Because nobody would f*ck with him.”

Moore said the Democratic Party’s refusal to back a bona fide and “beloved TV star” for president is a question he has been perplexed by for two decades.

“Why don’t the Democrats run Tom Hanks? Why doesn’t Oprah run? Why don’t we run someone that’s beloved by the American people?” the Oscar-winner asked.

“Democrats always shy away from Hollywood, and I always say to them, ‘Really?’ Because out where I live, people love Hollywood!” he added. “They love the movies. They love stars. The Republicans run Reagan, they run Schwarzenegger. Gopher from ‘The Love Boat’ was elected to Congress in Iowa. They run Sonny Bono. Why don’t the Democrats run somebody that people love?”

The Rock is probably smart enough to see right through Michael Moore, and know this endorsement is not really a compliment.

Why doesn’t Oprah run?

Because she's a big fat cow and her running would cause continental drift.

And that would be bad.

Moore thinks he’s baiting Trump.

Despite the hopes of the Catholic bishops for a permanent stalemate over abortion, you can’t PERMANENTLY have a party that applauds the killing of 60 million babies. God will end it. Or raise up people who will not tolerate it.

I don’t think pec pops count as foreign diplomacy.

Johnson attended the 2000 Democratic National Convention[282] as part of WWE’s non-partisan “Smackdown Your Vote” campaign, which aimed to influence young people to vote.[283] A registered Republican,[284][285] he had a speaking role at the 2000 Republican National Convention that same year.[286]

From Wikipedia.

Just to draw attention to the part I was quoting:

“A registered Republican”

I think Moore might be surprised to find out The Rock is pretty moderate with right leanings. He’s stated several times he’s more interested in policies than politics.

“The Rock” has no political experience or significant life achievement except being an actor. Trump is a successful businessman and billionaire.

Hollywood stars? When are we going to elect LEADERS? The Hollywood types are popular in their districts or birth places. Sure anyone can run as President, no experience necessary, but once in what can they accomplish? I was blessed to be here during the IKE years, after IKE, what was once Leadership became celebrity pop. We don’t need any more celebrities, we need solid LEADERSHIP! If they possess the leadership traits, fine, you may get a good one out of it like Reagan. For the most part you will be dealing with people who spent most of their lives doing myth and fantasy, and think they are in the real world while doing it. Hollywood, Baaaaah!

Dwayne Johnson is a republican.

The democrats ran Al Franken, a TV comedian, for Senate.

They ran Cooter from The Dukes of Hazzard.

I fear bringing it up because, like a bad penny, mention the name and it surfaces.....

Why doesn’t Moore take the lead of A Sharpton.

Have not heard a peep about Sharpton since the word was out that he had visited BO on an almost weekly basis..

NOT COMPLAINING, just figure there are plenty that could and should join him in obscurity..

OTOH, he is probably ‘busy’ in NY, raping the NYC treasury of all he can while a ‘pal’ is in the Mayors seat.

Well go for it Mike!

As far as i’m concerned the all the left has at the moment are celebrities.
I have no doubt that Oprah, Alec Baldwin or even The Rock will be on the ballot come 2020.

I know someone who knows Mr. Johnson quite well...MM would rue the day if he was elected to any office of influence. He’s one of us, he just keeps it to himself. He’s VERY generous but keeps it quiet.
