The NFL ratings dropped substantially after a record number of players protested the national anthem on Sunday, and polls have even shown that the majority of Americans believe that players should stand for the national anthem. During the Patriots versus Texans game, it was blatantly obvious what fans thought of the players kneeling for the national anthem.
As The Star-Spangled Banner played, fans noticed 17 Patriots players kneeling. Then the stadium of approximately 60,000 began booing and screaming, Stand up! Watch:
But now, Sporting News is reporting that it spoke with a behind-the-scenes TV staffer and found that the NFL was so desperate to hold onto its fans watching at home that they told their cameramen not to show the crowd during the national anthem.
Sporting News writes:
One behind-the-scenes TV staffer at another stadium told Sporting News that camera operators were ordered to avoid crowd shots in case they showed fans counterprotesting the protests.
NBC Sports, CBS Sports, Fox Sports and ESPN pay billions each year to televise live NFL games. The league saw this weekend's unprecedented anthem coverage as a golden opportunity to demonstrate unity among players, coaches and owners and opposition to Trump's comments.
If crowd shots were indeed purposely avoided, it was a wise business decision by the networks not to bite the hand that feeds them their most popular programming, but a weak move from a journalistic standpoint. By covering one of the most significant days in NFL history with rose-colored glasses, the networks cheated viewers. We got an incomplete picture of what really happened in stadiums on Sunday and Monday.
Despite the networks allegedly avoiding crowd shots, many people caught onto the fans' reaction and took to social media:

Disney owns ESPN and ABC. The Disney Gays, who control ESPN/Disney/ABC are probably the ones, who started their BLM thugs/slaves, aka National Felon League/NFL thugs kneeling during our anthem. They hate conservatives like you, your family and Tim Allen. Remember, Tim’s show getting cancelled because he is a conservative.
Dont wait for President Trump or congress to whack these thugs. You can deliver a severe financial blow from your home and save money by doing it.
Disney owns ESPN!
What networks/? does Disney own?:
Disney/ABC Television Group. Disney/ABC Television Group operates Disneys broadcast television, cable television and radio businesses. ...
ESPN, Inc. ...
Walt Disney Parks & Resorts U.S., Inc. ...
Lucasfilm Ltd. ...
Marvel Entertainment, LLC.
If freepers are really serious about this issue, they can do two things this weekend or next week.
1. Cancel/cut you cable and go to a good internet to stream the tv shows they watch. Disney/ABC/ESPN and the above are owned by Disney. Each month they get a huge share of your monthly cable bill. Cut the cable, and they lose that monthly $ chunk/bite out of your bill. You will save a lot of money each month.
2. Use Sling Blue TV for streaming the channels you will watch. Sling Blue does not carry ESPN/Disney/ABC. So, the evil Disney/ESPN/NFL/ABC gay hate America liberals get nothing from you.
Talking tough and posting pompous threats on Free Republic are cheap and not effective.
Cutting their economic tv take at your home is like using a laser guided smart bomb to cut off/destroy their financial tentacles.
Without their monthly financial take from your cable tv, the NFL will fade away like a bad dose of the GI Trots.
If you really want to smack/hurt ESPN/NFL/Disney/ABC just do #1 and #2 above this week.
You will save a lot of money each month besides feeling better.

The booing during the anthem was obvious at the Pats game but the announcers never said a word about it. - Crowd was booing the kneeling players, not the anthem itself
Is anyone really surprised?
All of mass media today is nothing but a Potemkin Village propaganda operation for the Left.
Why would you "instruct" the cameramen not to show the crowd, if it wasn't your full intent to shove the protest right into America's face with the full knowledge that fans would not support it?
THIS is why the NFL is staying off.
Not
For
Long
ESPN charges cable and satellite companies $7.21 per month per subscriber for the main channel alone. It’s over $9.00 if you get all the other ESPN channels.
In contrast, Fox Sports charges $1.86 per month.
There should be a class action against the NFL for violating their own rules, written code of conduct that the fans count on when attending or watching an NFL game.
The NFL is cheating the fans of the experience they paid for in attending or watching games. I bet if they has 50 million plaintiff’s in this class action lawsuit they might break the NFL.
Where are the good Class Action attorneys.
Where are the ANTI-TRUST attorneys?
SO NOW THE MEDIA gives us not only FAKE NEWS, but FAKE SPORTS as well?
The NFL is basically saying: “Ignore those people behind the curtain”
WORTHLESS MEDIA
What do we get:
FAKE NEWS!
What do they give:
FAKE SPORTS!
The over-puffed swine.
FRY ‘EM LIKE BACON
Couple this with Oakland throwing the game against the Redskins and you have the end of the NFL

That’s because the NFL hates free speech.
Good stuff!
Alinsky’s 5th rule:
5. Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
Of course we have a few resident dinosaurs here who will climb way up on their high horses, seat themselves and then affect dudgeon about photoshopped pictures ... eff `em.
Nice work. More please.
Trust No One
Stadium was packed in GB last night
Many of those men never made it to the beach. All for the Anri-American
to enjoy his freedom of speech.
This is true. I didn’t know anything about the NFL “taking a knee” prior to the game. They never showed the bench or players kneeling. Brady was standing arms interlocked. The Texan’s were all standing. I couldn’t imagine Belichick letting his players protest the flag. It wasn’t until after the game that I found out about the protest.
Pay to play.
If they want to play football, they have to pay for the privilege. It's ridiculous how much these grown men are paid to toss a ball. Meanwhile our vets who fought for the Flag, would never earn in their life time what these ball chasers earn in a season to spit on the Flag. Talk about equality.
