FULL TITLE: Pennsylvania teachers mocked disabled fifth-grader in a voicemail to her mother after they forgot to hang up the phone

A mother is suing a Pennsylvania school district after she says three teachers made fun of her daughter, who is a special needs student, in a voicemail that was left on her phone.

"The mother heard her child's teachers brutally attack her daughter, saying: 'Her teeth are crooked,' she has 'no strengths,' and, 'She could coal-mine. She could be a good coal miner.' "

A good coal miner eh?

Well teacher at good coal miner in West Virginia makes more in one month that you do in one year.

So maybe she should go into coal mining now that Trump is going to open our mines again. MAGA

Yea I agree this kid should be a coal miner, nothing wrong with that. She’ll have a nice home, car, be able to fix her teeth and better life than her lousy teachers.

Why would they want to make fun of this child and a noble profession that earns lots of money?

Proper remedy, to my mind, is for those teachers to be fired. A settlement won’t cost the district anything. Any money will come out of the taxpayers’ hides. I think firing those teachers would send a stronger message.

In a way, teaching is similar to the military.

Some join because it's a family thing.

Some join because of passion/sense of duty.

And, some join for easy benefits and retirement.

Which of these is the correct answer?

That is pretty unprofessional and cruel, but should the students mother be able to cash in because of it?

If the teachers aren’t fired, THEN sue.

They can be fired. It can be done. And it’s cheaper than a lawsuit.

Well as the saying goes kids can be brutal, and as far as I can see, most teachers are nothing but over aged kids. That's why so many, from both sexes, engage in sexual relations with their students. They look at them more as peers, and they fail to teach anything worthwhile anymore. Furthermore, they don't even have the common sense to hang up a phone I guess.

Hopefully, the administrators will do the right thing & revoke their teaching credentials, or whatever the process is called to make their careers in teaching an impossibility from this day forward. I have absolutely no sympathy for them at all.

I’m sure the teacher’s union will circle the wagons for their misunderstood comrades.

So these brainiacs are so mentally superior that they haven’t mastered hanging up a phone?

Not all public school teachers, but many public school teachers, have resorted to objectifying students.

Several of the teachers where I came from worked in the mine during the Summer Break to earn more than they would during the school year. They respected the parents of their students and understood where and why their students would go to work in the mine.

Why would they want to make fun of this child?

They don't believe her or us or indeed even themselves to be made in the image of God.
