Divide the monkeys into two groups: light-skinned and dark. Browbeat the light, telling them they have “light monkey privilege” and shame the hell out of them.
Take grapes from the light while blaming them for oppressing the dark.
Give the dark an advantage over the light in jobs and admission to training courses.

What will the outcome be: The light will be mad as hell and elect Donald Trump.

The Capuchin revolution! Love it.

Next experiment will be to teach the first monkey to sing - "Arise ye apes of toil and hunger, Arise ye apes of tyranny...." :-)

well let’s see. You have two employees each with a job requiring similar levels of skill and dillgence. One gets paid $30K per year for the job and works diligently keeping her customers happy. The other is the daughter of a director and gets paid $65K and doesn’t even work that hard.

A shit storm results. It’s the same thing.

But does the monkey who gets grapes EVER give one to the monkey who gets cucumbers? Doubt it very much.

As a mendicant order I would have expected Capuchin monks to be more grateful for even getting the cucumber.

Seriously, though, that was a funny video. The Simian Employees International Union will be filing a grievance.

But Mickey and Davey sang most of the songs.

And Davey was the ‘cute’ one so all the teeny bopper girls loved the group because of him.

And Mickey had all the personality.

Guess Peter should have gotten less. Your Auntie Grizelda be damned.

>>But does the monkey who gets grapes EVER give one to the monkey who gets cucumbers? Doubt it very much.<<

In the longer version of the presentation, the speaker says that a couple of the monkeys receiving grapes eventually refused them when they saw their counterpart receiving only cucumber.

These were later identified as Brainwashed Commie Zombie Capuchins, and they quickly went extinct.

“I always thought Nesmith deserved more pay than the rest of them, being the only real musician and all...”

I see what you did there!!!

But Micky learned to play drums though he was just a singer.....worth a banana I think!!!

I’ll wager that this experiment is less about fairness than a preference for certain rewards. If they had only a single monkey, gave that monkey a grape once to make the monkey aware of the grapes, then leave the grapes in view but never give him any, you would see identical behavior, the monkey would act identical.

I think this researcher knew this and spun the result to make his progressive point.

Did you know that Michael Neismith’ mother invented White Out? He received all her wealth since he was only child.

The problem with that experiment is the randomness of the “reward”.If the grape had been given to the monkey who had clearly worked harder for his reward that would be one thing. But that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Socialism. The cucumber monkey wants the attendant to take from the grape monkey and feed him.
