Caitlyn Jenner has claimed that Donald Trump has set the transgender community in the U.S. “back 20 years” in an address to the British Parliament.
The I Am Cait star, a registered Republican, urged the UK “not to go down the same road” in her address in the House of Commons. The address was the featured speech at Channel 4’s annual diversity lecture.
Jenner reportedly voted for Trump but subsequently revealed a case of buyer’s remorse after branding his decision to end federal protections allowing transgender students to use bathrooms that correspond with their gender identity a “disaster.”
Introduced by Channel 4 CEO Alex Mahon, Jenner also called London possibly the “most culturally diverse city in the world.”
Jenner, who transitioned in 2015, discussed the first few years of her experience. “When I came out the first year was very good, everything was going along great and then all of a sudden I became this person of privilege. I didn’t ‘get it’ when it came to the trans community, we have a very marginalized community and I didn’t get it and I got so much of this for so long. I will never apologize for everything I’ve been able to do because I’ve worked very hard and I’m not going to apologize for working hard and being successful. But what that does is gives me a sense of privilege but it also gives me a platform.”
“I always suggest to every trans person out there, everybody has a platform that they can utilize to make it just a little bit better for the next generation coming up,” she added.
Jenner’s comments come after the move to feature her in the lecture was criticized by a number of people. RuPaul’s Drag Race star Carmen Carrera said that Jenner’s “number one mission was to be the Mother Theresa of this community”, while transgender comedian Shon Faye said Jenner’s life story is “far removed from what British politicians need to be hearing and considering on this issue”.
I’m torn on this issue. On one hand I want to protect kids and women from predator men who pretend to be women going into the women’s bathroom/dressing room/locker room.
On the other hand this gender dysphoria thing is real. The people I have empathy for is those who truly are mentally mismatched with the gender their body is. It must be a living hell. Of course it is a form of mental illness. I can’t even imagine what it would be like. I doubt there will ever be a cure for this. It’s how God or a quirk of nature made them.
Still; those who are vulnerable must be protected from the predators and they trump the needs of those with this mental illness IMHO.
And to think that at one point, an argument could be made that he was the best athlete on the planet.
Still more winning.
She spoke in Parliament? The same Parliament who debated whether or not to BAN the President of the United States? That Parliament?

From what I’m seeing, it’s on the order of 50,000 - 100,000. In a country of ~325,000,000, that’s about 0.02% (!!).
That’s a really small number for all the attention and societal angst.

I monitor the actions and statements form the President pretty closely and have seen exactly zero of either regarding trannie freaks.
The fact that transgenderism is a mental disease that results in suicide rates than in ANY other cohort would be abominable but is instead coddled is a result of liberal progressive hate of all things normal has nothing to do with Donald Trump.
This is not complicated. You are still male. You may be homosexual or bisexual, but you are not female. You will never be female.
If President Trump is discouraging the left's cheerleaders for mental illness, good for him.

Some articles claim it’s about .3-.5% of the population, but that seems high.
