Warriors complete sweep of Cavaliers with 108-85 win to claim second straight NBA championship and third in four seasons

Led by Stephen Curry’s 37 points, Golden State finished off Cleveland, its Finals opponent four years running. LeBron James, a potential free agent next month, scored 23 points for the Cavaliers in the last game of his eighth consecutive Finals appearance.

I haven’t watched an NBA championship series for almost 12 years now. In fact, the last time that I watched an entire series...goes back to 1993. There’s just nothing much exciting about it.

I still cannot believe how my Boston Celtics choked away their series against LeBron and company. The Celtics took a two-games-to-none lead before losing four out of the remaining five games (including game seven in Boston).

This was the first such collapse in Celtics history.

Now, there is speculation that LeBum might even talk with Boston during the off-season as he decides his next career move.

I don’t know how I’ll be able to bring myself to still support my Celts if LeBron James somehow opts to come to Boston!!

Not true. He bumped fists with several of the Warriors when he left the game for the last time with a little over 4 minutes left - at that point the Cavs were down by 25 points and they'd started clearing the bench.

James, like so many other professional athletes, has become politicized and he makes ill-informed statements about Trump. But so do the Warriors. James has lavished praise on the Warriors this week, not only for their talent but also for their basketball IQ - he's been unfailingly gracious. He's definitely not a poor loser.
