Revisionists...
So people should not get married in Rome too??? The city built on the back of slaves.
So. Effin. Sick of these people.
The funny thing is that the wedding websites and magazines won’t stop letting plantations advertise. Instead, they’ll ban the use of certain terms that are associated with plantations. You can talk about gardens but not “historic”. You can discuss the broad grassy plain but not use the word “elegant”.
I guess river boats have to go as well
Good point. And what about those honeymoons to the Egyptian pyramids?
And hoop skirts... down with Proms
The word “slave” comes from “Slav,” as the Ottoman Turks often used people of Slavic origin as slaves.
Communists want all history erased.
It’s all part of the plan to lobotomize society.
The only thing to do is laugh at these nitwits. They are insane.
Why is it so easy for people to be afraid of names?
Silly, silly people.
Doing something - or even saying something - about slaves’ being held today in Africa, Arabia, China, Haiti, etc., would be too challenging. Instead, pretend weddings at historic sites are a real problem, really hurting someone.
In defense of the Egyptians newer evidence indicates the pyramids were built by paid labor.
They went after civil war monuments.
Now they go after a type of building.
There is no goal for them. They will push and push and push. They will never be satisfied and they will never stop. Until they are forced to stop. We can’t live with these people.
> Plantation weddings are wrong. <
Then dont go to one.
That was easy.
Puhlease

And people don't have the same ghastly vibe walking the grounds in Mexico that they do walking through Auschwitz
I heave read Social Justice Warrior types go after hoop skirts. Ignoring that was the fashion all over the Western World and not just the antebellum South during the 1850s/60s.
Ah yes, Snowflake History requires that all trigger references be erased from human history.
In this case it is obvious slavery was the fault of the actual building and grounds.
