Jacko needs to learn to sand the Bondo down on his nose after it dries, in order to make it look more (ahem) natural. ;-0)

Good morning Kathy.. It's still cloudy here and the wind turned to the north and it's chilly.. The sun is supposed to come out this afternoon, but it will be cool the next couple of days I guess.. S'ok by me..

It's low tide now and the water has receded about a foot on the canal wall, but it may go up again at high tide. It poured all night and the wind was fierce.

I was going down to the condo with Al this morning, but it's too darned cold to be on the beach. Stayed right here where it's calmer..

It's been snowing all night and has stayed.Three inches and not a snowplow in sightWhere I am is right in the path of the snowbelt, so we get it worse than others along Lake Ontario.

Yes.. I just got off the phone with Dyan, and they had sleet, and snow. Just about an inch tho and it's supposed to change to rain later. She says it's cold and messy.

It's still windy and rainy here. Hasn't cleared up yet..

You can keep your snow up there...we got rain, and I'd take rain over snow any day. ;-) Three inches of snow in the DC area would be devastating, the grocery stores would be mobbed. :-0)

Hi there Loddy...thanks for your kind email....I shall return to DD, but probably not for a little while anyway....my computer is giving me big headaches, and I am having real problems with it....dont know if it is kaput and I need to get a new one, or if the son can somehow fix it when he comes down for the Thanksgiving Holiday....in any case its either buy a new computer, or get this one fixed, both of which will take time...I hate to buy another computer, until I know for sure what is wrong with this one....thankfullly I am still able to use my email, but am unable to do much else with this old thing....

Our vacation to California was a success, as we successfully did our first RVing and found it to be quite wonderful.....I guess the bad thing was that it gets dark so early now, and BigDom wanted to stop each nite before it got dark so time constraints were the main problem....try8ng to do all that we wanted in the time allowed....we somehow managed, tho were quite worn out once we finally returned home....Dizzy was a champion RVer himself, loving all the cubbyhole cupboards to hide in, and riding atop the perch over the cab while BigDom was driving...he was quite the troope, in spite of the fact, that we believed he was scared that we were roaming the countryside in search of a new home for him....he was delighted to be with us on the trip, tho especially delighted to return home, and find that he still lived with us....ah, the poor animals, they do worry so....

Visited with my relatives in California....my dear auntie Helen, my dads sister, is aging and not in good health, which saddened me so....at one point, when I was in another room, when I came back to where she was, I thought some neighbor had dropped in, as Aunt Helen looked so much older, ,and sicker than I last remember her....so it was grand to see her again, but bittersweet....

We visited our Michaels grave, and for some reason, this time was more difficult than in the past....it was so very hard to look at his grave, without just crying my heart out for my dear boy, who never had the chance to become the man I had wished him to be.....altho I believe he is in the Lords good care and grace, his physical absence from me, is very hard to bear.....time does soften the pain I feel over his death, but time never removes the sadness I feel whenever I want to hold him...so again, visiting his grave was bittersweet....

Anyway, the trip was refreshing, we learned a good deal about RVing, and have decided, that life on the road, once we are retired will indeed be a good life, as long as we can return to our home, for periodic rest times....

BigDom has retuned to work, and gearing up for long hours, and probably working 6 day weeks, what with the holidays approaching and all....he already works 11 hrs a day at the trusty post office, and I know that within a week or so, they will also have him working his usual Saturdays off...well, its extra money, and of course, that always comes in handy....

Anyway, just wanted to let you know what was going on with me.....please say hi to all on DD , and send them all my love, and let them know what is going on with me, and once I get my computer problems ironed out, I shall return....

At least my email is still working, but who knows for how long.....I can log onto FR, but cannot get past the first page, to even be able to lurk....it just may be some silly small thing wrong, with this computer, but since I am really computer illiterate, I am afraid to try anything....will just wait for Thanksgiving and let the son sort things out....he should be able to either fix this thing, or tell me to chuck it, and he will have to help me get a new one....

So make sure to tell all on DD, I am still around, just somewhat incommunicado for a few weeks....take care...

It's good to know that Mom and Dom are safely home and working on the puter gremlins. Hoping to see here sometime in the near future. ;-)
