Walmart Worker Allegedly Prostituted Himself In Store Bathroom During Breaks
The Consumerist ^ | April 24, 2013 | Laura Northrup

Posted on 04/24/2013 6:26:06 PM PDT by Slings and Arrows

A Walmart employee in upstate New York allegedly made very productive use of his time during overnight shifts in the store. Unfortunately, he did so by advertising his services online as a prostitute, then meeting clients in a store bathroom during his breaks. Great efficient use of time, but also kind of illegal.

According to state police, the store bosses became suspicious and alerted authorities about the 22-year-old’s possible side hustle. Police had an undercover officer set up an appointment and offer to exchange sex for money. The man was arrested and charged with prostitution, and has been suspended while Walmart investigates. “We’re appalled that something like this could be happening in one of our stores,” a Walmart spokeswoman told the Glens Falls Post-Star.

It’s also surprising to hear that despite getting rid of the “adult services” section, Craigslist still serves as a venue for prostitutes to hawk their services.

This proves, once and for always, that Wal*Mart HATES queers.

Was that wrong? Should Fred Garvin have not done that?

(Maybe they never told him he couldn't do that.)

Look at the bright side, at least it’s the one thing you can buy at WalMart that wasn’t Made in China.

Never in a Walmart reply to an intercom call - "Clean-up on aisle six".

sorry - my last one. This is so sick, I couldn't help myself.

I don’t go there anymore because there are so few clerks now I have to stand in line as long as thirty minutes and I can’t do that after shopping the store. I also don’t like the crowd that is always there plus it’s hard to get a parking place in a handicap place and I have to have that due to a knee that won’t walk a long way plus walk in the store.

I go to a Kroger very close to my house and most of the customers are older and it’s calm in there and no little kids running the aisles. Plus, if there are two people waiting to check out and another one gets in line, they open another register right then so there are only two people waiting at each checkout. That is a great store for me and the rest of the older people.

If one of us needs help finding something, another of us will help that person. Everyone is friendly.

As a prostitute, the probability is that he worked both sides of the street, depending on who had money.

You hear a fair amount of prostitution testimonies in twelve step programs.

Sorry to hear about your gig getting busted.

Bad timing in that you just bought that new Hello Kitty pink Jaguar too.

You will bounce back as you always do.
