(I had this piece written this morning when I caught Senator Hagel of Nebraska on CBS describing Israels efforts to stop the Hezbollah from killing them as a slaughter. I felt sick to my stomach that we have such a stupid and ignorant person as a Republican senator. Where has he been for the last 58 years, or is he an anti-Semite too? We already know that he is a copperhead.)
We are being inundated with pictures and news features showing innocent women and children being killed by Israeli attacks in Lebanon, and we are moved to act to stop this seeming madness.

I'm going to the kitchen right this moment to get me a dirk to put a tiny slit in a vein so I can drain all any Teutonic blood out 'afore it destroys my delicate sensibilities.
Hagel long ago joined the RINO club to be associated with such notable charter members as Specter, Chafee, and Lindsay Graham.
About 48 hours after the Irag invasion he was for cut-and-run. He's waffled on Supreme Court justices, and no one should be surprised at his desire to cut-and-run from Israel's (and our) war against terrorism.
He thinks because he's a veteran that he's some sort of military strategist and foreign affairs authority. George McGovern was a decorated Air Force officer -- they should get together and turn out some position papers on why Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist groups should not be so unfairly treated just because they hide behind civilian populations.
By the way, how many of them have you heard state the fact that deliberate endangerment of a civilian population by hiding behind and within it is a WAR CRIME? I'm still waiting.
In the meantime he will continue to try to convince the rest of us that anti-semitism is an hereditary condition for his ethnic group.
