Ok, so imagine you live in Portugal and your moving your house. You find a lovely farm house set in a decent plot of land. The place has been empty for 15 years!
Whilst exploring your new property you find a large barn in the trees. The door is padlocked shut and its all rusted solid. So you grind the padlock open.........

.........
and this is what you find inside......
HOLY KRAP !!!!!!!!!
LOOKY !!!
Wow! That's better than winning the lottery. I can't believe that someone sold them the property and didn't know what was in the barn.
a ton of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I was wondering if they were stolen too. There are some beauts there. One looks like a '37 - '38 Buick. What a great car with a straight eight. I knew a mechanic who owned one. Ran so quiet you could walk right up to it before you knew it was running. Pure torque too.
I didn't notice any old trucks though.~P~
I think one was a truck but you can't see the back of it to be sure. It looks like a '46 Chevy. I know it's pre'47 because Chevy truck was the same from '47 - about '52. Even to first half of '55 it didn't change much but the one in the pic is different.
Maybe it's a European car. It's pic 7 from the top. There is a nice Jag in there too if I'm not mistaken.
Anyone have old barn, not looked into?
Would probably have a lot of problems...mainly infestations and if any fluids were left in them, it would likely be very thick sludge.
Remember when I pulled the Beetle out of the field...remember that sludge that had slowly dripped from the gas tank? It was thick like rubber.
But that's nothing that can't be overcome!
Guy I know (not at all well) owns a lot of interesting toys (some of which have been shown on the Discovery Channel and the History Channel). Some of his lesser known toys include a two story barn with 50 vintage automobiles including pre-war Mercedes.
So, it's a safe assumption you're not in the will?
It's a safe bet that ALL of them will need extensive rebuild work.
Lot's of fun to be had...
Makes me think of the Rush song "Red Barchetta"
Not bad, once you wash off the decades of bird poop, rat droppings and bat guano!
Heck... our trucks have been having infestations just here in the driveway... we've had mouse nests in our glove box... and I think they're in the vents. Ugh.
Might have to fly you out here to show us how to take that stuff apart.
Bet on it.
Anyone have access to the actual inventory? I'm curious, but not so much so to look it up.
