FAX TO SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN: DON'T LET THE GREENS TAKE YOU PRISONER
JoeClarke.Net ^ | 05/13/2008 | JoeClarke.Net

[Fax sent in CAPS]

DEAR SENATOR MCCAIN: THANK YOU, FOR YOUR SERVICE IN VIETNAM AS WELL AS THE UNITED STATES SENATE. I WAS ALSO MEDEVACED OUT OF VIETNAM AND SPENT MANY MONTHS IN MILITARY AND VA HOSPITALS.

IF I MAY, SENATOR, I WOULD LIKE TO STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT YOU KEEP ONLY THE SLIGHTEST OPEN MIND TO THE INCREASING DATA THAT IS BEING RELEASED ON A DAILY BASIS SHOWING THAT MUCH OF THE CARBON SCARE IS BASED ON COMPUTER MODELS THAT ARE VERY, VERY SUSPECT, AT BEST. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY FRAGILE ECONOMIC TIME FOR AMERICA'S ENERGY NEEDS AND SO MUCH OF AL GORE'S THESES ARE BEING RENOUNCED BY A GROWING NUMBER OF SCIENTISTS - WHO ARE ALL BUT IGNORED AND SHUT OUT AS MERE "FLAT EARTHERS."

AL GORE AND HIS MINIONS WILL NOT DEBATE THE ISSUE, BECAUSE THEY CANNOT DEBATE ANYTHING THAT WOULD QUESTION THEIR CARBON GRAVY TRAIN. MUCH (NOT ALL) OF THIS "CLIMATE CHANGE" MOVEMENT IS JUST A 'DOG AND PHONY SHOW' WHICH WILL CAUSE MANY ADHERENTS TO SUFFER DUE EMBARRASSMENT. PLEASE, STUDY SOVIET COMMUNISM'S LYSENKO TO COMPREHEND HOW EASILY JUNK SCIENCE CAN BREAK AN EMPIRE AND CAUSE WIDESPREAD MISERY AND DEATH.

YES, WE WOULD ALL WANT TO BE MORE EFFICIENT WITH OUR USE OF ANY KIND OF FUEL, BUT THE UNITED NATIONS, AS WELL AS AMERICAN ACADEMICS, AND MEDIA HAVE CARRIED THEIR MOVEMENT TO A LEVEL OF SELF-ASSURANCE THAT CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED SCIENTIFICALLY.

THE "GREENS" HAVE MOTIVES FAR BEYOND MERELY CLEANING UP THE ATMOSPHERE:THEY WOULD LIKE TO TAKE US CAPTIVE AND MAKE US PRISONERS TO A SYSTEM WHICH IS ILLBEGOTTEN, UNTHINKABLY COSTLY, AND RUINOUS - PROMISING TO TORTURE AMERICANS FOR YEARS TO COME.

Three points:

1. It would have been better without the all caps. All caps don’t encourage a reader to read or agree.

2. In any case, he’ll never see this.

3. In any case, McCain doesn’t care about GW as an issue in the way you imagine. To him it’s just a way to “reach across the aisle”.

Dear Joe,

You are not named Russert, or Stephanopolous, or Matthews or work for an alphabet media. So I don't care what you think.

Go away,

John McCain's 'Global Warming' Hearings Blasted by Climatologist By Marc Morano CNSNews.com Senior Staff Writer November 19, 2004

Washington (CNSNews.com) - Recent U.S. Senate hearings into alleged global warming, chaired by Arizona Republican John McCain, were among the "most biased" that a noted climatologist has ever seen - "much less balanced than anything I saw in the Clinton administration," he said.

snip..

Michaels spoke with CNSNews.com Thursday following a panel discussion sponsored by the libertarian Cato Institute in Washington, D.C., where Michaels also serves as a senior fellow in environmental studies.

"John McCain, a Republican, has probably held the most biased hearing of all," Michaels said. McCain is a big proponent of limiting greenhouse gas emissions, which he believes are causing "global warming."

The Arizona senator also "is trying to define himself as an environmental Republican, which he is going to use to differentiate himself from his rivals for the (presidential) nomination in 2008," according to Michaels. snip...

You must get used to the fact that John McCain does NOT listen to conservatives. This is what he thinks of us. He got thousands of letters about this boner:

April, 2006 SEN. JOHN MCCAIN (R), ARIZONA: “ My friends, I’ll offer anybody here $50 an hour if you’ll go pick lettuce in Yuma this season and pick for whole season. So — OK? Sign up. OK. When you sign up — you sign up, and you’ll be there for the whole season. The whole season, OK? Not just one day. Because you can’t do it, my friend. Sign up.”

(END VIDEO CLIP) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2006856/posts?page=176#176

Unless he’s totally brain dead, he knows this global warming push is just another money maker for special interests. You know it. I know it. If McCain doesn’t know it, he’s in the wrong line of work.

The invaders changed from pods to an alien virus that is contracted through liquids. Once the person falls asleep, the virus rewrites human DNA. The aliens then vomit a gelatinous substance into liquids to help the invasion continue.

Too late—dey done got Juan’s pod.

McCain is an opportunist with no scruples or integrity. He'll pander wherever he thinks he can stick it to conservative. Because he is also vindictive and wants to pay those evil conservatives back.

Uh, I find this headline a little tacky under all the circumstances.

The same idea could have been expressed without making a political statement out of “being taken prisoner.”

I couldn't agree more. However, we must do whatever we can to try and stop it. If I were in His shoes, I'd be mighty ticked off at us too. Heck, I probably wouldn't have waited so long, lol. (not funny haha, more of a nervous laughter haha).

I never read anything posted in all caps.

Apparently there are many FReepers who are too young to remember loading programs with an ASR-33 Teletype.

"The ASR33 is a printing terminal and a program storage device (paper tape) used with PDP-8 systems. This model of Teletype terminal was made from about 1965 to 1976. They were quite common on earlier machines or minimally configured machines. The ASR 33 uses rolls of paper on which it prints 72 characters at 10 characters per inch. The ASR 33 teletype can print 64 characters which only allowed for UPPER CASE LETTERS, numbers, and symbols. The paper tape reader and punch can handle 8 bit binary data.

The ASR 33 transfers data at 10 characters per second, 110 baud. This isn't too bad for interactive use but is slow for printing large listings or loading large programs. It would take close to 7 minutes to load 2000 words of the PDP-8 memory from the paper tape."

The 110 baud gave you a lot of time to reflect on the vast strides that had been made in computing hardware. I recall sitting and watching the tape spool through the reader for a half hour or so when I realized the end of the program tape I was loading was caught under the leg of my chair. As I tried to get up the tape went taut and neatly ripped off at a "rubout" (all seven levels punched, just made for tear on the dotted line). Remember the drill? line number, statment, CR, LF, Rubout, Rubout? Needless to say the tape was toast and you had to pray that you had a backup copy else you typed the whole schmere in all over again.

Those were the days when you wrote your own bootstrap loader...

Regards,
GtG

PS My first machine had 48K of 8 bit memory and ran at about 0.8 MHz clock speed. I wrote a virtual memory handler for my floppies and ran home brewed 3D plotting software on it. Also did a cost accounting package for the engineering department where I was employed.

“The more McCain speaks, the more likely I am to vote turd party this November.”

I am changing my party affiliation to “Independent” since nobody seems to be at home in the Republican party. I used to think I could hold my nose one more time, and vote for Johnny The Panderer. His GW speech made me want to throw up. I’m torn between staying home, in November, or voting for the Muzzie stealth candidate in hopes things get so fouled up that the RAT party is soundly trounced in 2010 and 2012.
