Dutch political cartoonist Gregorius Nekschot was arrested on suspicion of violating the countrys so-called hate speech laws. It took a police team of 10 to accomplish the apprehension of Nekschot at his home, where he declined to resist arrest, much to the dismay of several of the officers. Police also seized his computer, sketches, CDs, DVDs, pencils, paper and telephone. The presence of several unclean comestiblesa can of Spam and a bag of fried pork rinds in his larder was also noted.
Nekschots cartoons have mainly mocked leftists and Muslim extremists, though the spokeswoman for his publisher said any strong ideology is apt to feel the sting of his satirical wit.
Amsterdam prosecutor Sanne van Meteren said Nekschots offense is a very serious criminal matter. Insulting these fanatics endangers everyone, she said. To tolerate his actions because of some theoretical freedom of speech ideal is to invite mayhem on our entire society.
The crimes for which Nekschot was arrested could net him up to a year in prison for each count. Prosecutors declined to disclose which of his cartoons instigated the charges. To name the cartoons involved would be to reiterate the insult and risk a violent response, van Meteren alleged. Everyone will have to trust us on this. Its for their own good.
The Islamic Jihad in the Netherlands has already issued a death sentence for the cartoonist and his publisher.

He didn’t kill anyone. He didn’t tell anyone to kill anyone. Holland should monitor those indoctrination centers where they DO tell people to kill Christians and Jews.
It’s not really a trick. My stuff is semi-news/semi-satire. The events are real. The Dutch cartoonist was arrested for his cartoons. I merely supply the unspoken logic behind the ridiculous actions of the politically correct, leftists, terrorists, democrats, etc.
We know these are the ways their twisted minds and incoherent logic work. The resulting satires seem so real because they get at an underlying truth.

Your stories are getting Lileks-worthy. The problem is they’re so good and the scenarios so like something libs would do you’re fooling too many Freepers. I’d bet half the people who read your satires think they’re true. Which naturally is almost as funny as the actual satire.
It is satire.

In several reports the cartoonist's fear of losing his anonymity and becoming a target of physical attack have been mentioned. The editors of HP/De Tijd have reported that the cartoonist experienced that one police officer made fun of him losing his anonymity because of his arrest.[16] It has also been reported that if the cartoonist would not admit guilt and accept a fine, the ensuing legal proceedings would reveal his identity. When the cartoonist confronted police officers with their responsibility for endangering his anonymity, they became angry and said it was all his own doing. Nekschot perceived they were playing around with his security. So at least it was reported by Syp Wynia in Elsevier. When found to be correct, such police behaviour is reminiscent of police tactics while investigating a string of gangland murders suspected to be connected with Heineken kidnapper Willem Holleeder. While interrogating a suspected financier Willem Endstra, who has since been murdered, police would talk about threats to his life, they considered not to be their problem.
Not so satirical after all!
It is heading toward the shores of the good ole USA at a rapid pace.
If the Democrats win the ‘08 election that will set the stage for it incubation.
They will pass laws that will enable them to flood the Nation with voters who don’t give a damn what the government does so long as it keeps them in freebies.
The producers will have to decide if they wish to die fighting or die like animals being held in camps starving to death while waiting to be taken out and have their throats cut.
