Little Ice Age Coming
The Virginian ^ | 8/20/2008 | Moneyrunner

An expert from the National Autonomous University of Mexico predicted that in about ten years the Earth will enter a "little ice age" which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity.

"Little Ice Age Coming"

Has the Lord High Poohbah of the Church of Global Warming commented on this finding yet?

“I dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones...”

OK, I’m a lousy singer, but I do like a White Christmas. Little hard to get in south/central NC.

Excellent news! The Little Ice Age will coincide with my future full-blown menopause and help to keep my hot flashes under control, LOL!

See? There’s a Silver Lining to every situation. :)

Perhaps it has already begun. Last weekend, I drove through California’s San Joaquin Valley, noted for its oppressive heat in August, yet the weather was cool and windy. Here in Southern Califorina, the cool, overcast mornings followed by warm, but not especially hot afternoons are more like the “May gray” and “June gloom” of late spring.

I have never experienced a White Christmas. Even when I was in Germany one Christmas, it rained, but didn’t snow.

the History Channel just said that the world will end in 2012 - don’t worry about it.

I grew up in the UP, a Upper.

Never knew there was such a thing as a green or brown Christmas until I joined the Army.

In Feb I went from Minn/St Paul to Ft Jackson SC for basic. I thought it was hot while all the southern folks had everything they were issued on and were shivering.

Living here on the Texas Gulf Coast it's like menopause for everyone for 5 months of the year. Leaving the a/c and going outside is a hot flash every time. I would LOVE an ice age.

Since I’ve never heard of this university, I looked it up in Wikipedia. This school is the largest one in Latin America. When you hear ‘Man Caused Global Warming’ pronouncements eminating from the lips of our country’s academes, and then the opposite from a foreign and obviously high quality institution that has no financial interest in the results of their analysis, one shudders about our country’s future.

Actually, if you are a little twisted, this could be better news than we think. In the early going of the “Little Ice Age” (which takes us back to the 70s Time or Newsweek cover, I forget which), the Glow Bull Warming whackjobs will deny that it is occurring. Then, when they finally smell the coffee, they will see the political advantages of taking credit for the “Little Ice Age” by claiming that all of their ‘green’ policies have worked and they have managed to stop and reverse Glow Bull Warming.

However, as the earth continues to cool, the attention will become more negative as people shiver more and enjoy it less. Then will come the notalgia of the “good old days” when we actually used to sweat during the summer and shovel snow in the winter instead of freezing in the winter and shoveling snow from mid- late Fall through winter and into mid- late Spring.

It may take 60 - 80 years for the whole GW environmental impact nonsense to run its course and finally be proven to be the complete hoax that it is. But, at some point in time, the Algores and Leonardo DiCaprios (Algore’s lap dog) of the world will finally be laughed out of business.
