Rush on Barbara Walters: "I Love Sarah Palin"
The Patriot Room ^ | December 7, 2008 | Bill Dupray

And here you have the best reason for Sara Palin to keep doing what she is doing. She helped get Saxby Chambliss elected. She was the first to accept the CPAC invitation for next year. She is playing for keeps. If Rush has her back in 2012, the Conservatives will be there too, and she will be tough to beat.

I don’t think she is particularly an ideological conservative, a lot of what she says rings rather populist.

I like her, she strikes me as honest, as trying to do the right thing. She isn’t particularly intellectual, she has come up through the ranks from PTA to governor one battle at a time. She’s a warrior, not a philosopher. So it shouldn’t be surprising if politically she is all over the map. Her moral compass is pretty true; her politics are pragmatic more than anything I think.

Hope you are right. With any luck, her morals will lead her down the road to 100% conservative and original intent thinking, then let her tenacity will take over.

Many states are going to have to tackle tough budget problems (AK, LA, FL, and SC included). How are rising stars (Jindal, Palin, Sanford, or Crist) handle these budget problems will make or break their Presidential aspirations. The problem with the GOP is not that its too conservative or less conservative. Its the image of the GOP being a country club for rural evangelicals who care only about gay marriage. Palin, Crist, Sanford, and Jindal will have opportunites to show the world how competent they are with fiscal matters. If they are successful, then their stock for the GOP Presidential nomination will go up. We need people who are competent, problem solvers.

Currently, Governor Sarah Palin is the only Republican politician who is in high demand on the talk show circuit, has galliardising support, is directly or indirectly responsible for developing massive email distribution lists, growing the online presence of conservative chat rooms, networking site and blogs and has the ability to fund-raise at the level of President Bush. Since the Nov. 4th election, most of the new conservative blogs and sites have been created on behalf of Sarah Palin or created by administrators supportive of Palin and/or her conservative positions. The online growth (blogs, youtube, conservative social networking) is Palin motivated and Palin targeted.

The three largest national pro-Palin organizations, http://www.draftpalinforpresident.com/, http://www.teamsarah.org/ and the http://www.nfrw.org/links.htm have nearly 300,000 members. All three groups have a national organization, a fundraising apparatus and have utilized their membership lists, technology and networking capabilities to work on behalf of Senator Chambliss. DraftPalin and teamsarah only developed their networks in the last 45 days. These three sites, in combination with the other pro-Palin sites/blogs and networks will easily exceed the 1 million membership mark before the end of next year.

The online Palin movement is the only conservative network to adopt identical technology and networking platforms as the successful Obama Presidential campaign. The Palin movement will be the critical factor in saving many Senators and House members in 2010, which is why liberals want Palin to become insignificant and shun from the national stage

McCain was the drag on the campaign. The only reason he was chosen is those northern states allowed crossover voting in the primaries. And they voted in dems at the end. That can be stopped hard. The GOP can say if that doesn't change they will hold caucuses there.

I can deal with Sarah and Mitt. He knows economics well. And Sarah is 50 miles from Russia. Russia has a nasty habit of flying bombers over Alaskan airspace. So Sarah had to order high performance jets up from Elmendorf to tell the Russians to get the hell out of there and go home.

Maybe those words she said to the generals and Putin should be published:) In English. And Russian. Maybe Sarah told Putin to yitch moyo sraku and he doesn't want to talk to her now:)
