Springfield, IL—The Barack Obama Whitewash is in full swing and US Attorney, Patrick Fitzgerald is currently in the Tank for the President-elect. My sources in Chicago claim Fitzgerald is now looking out for Obama’s interests. The deal has already been made.
Now Fitzgerald has made quite a mess and before it’s all over whistleblowers within his own office may spill the beans. The only way out is for a real sweetheart deal where Governor Rod Blagojevich, shuts up, resigns and escapes prison. No hearings, no trials and no risk of exposing Obama or his minions to sunshine.
The lawyers for Tony Rezko are also in on this deal making that’s not about cooperating with testimony but silence.
Defense lawyer Ed Genson already knows that Fitzgerald does not want the information Blagojevich can provide about major corruption that extends straight to Obama and several members of his team. The goal is to discredit and silence Blagojevich while getting him out of the way.
Illinois cannot impeach anyone without affording them Due Process under our Fifth Amendment. That means Blagojevich has the absolute right to subpoena witnesses, the right to confront and cross-examine accusers.
Blagojevich also has the right to all related e-mails; phone records reports prior to any hearing. Despite posturing to the contrary they know that.
Nobody goes to jail and they all will live happily ever after…

Fitzgerald [the US Attorney] said himself that Blago was “in the middle of a crime spree”.
Who told Fitzi to stop the investigation immediately and arrest him while he was “in the middle of a crime spree”? [Unheard of]
I’ll tell you: Someone (s) who didn’t want the investigation to nail the bigger fish, that’s who.
Fitzi’s reward will be that he will be the only one of the federal prosecutors (93) involved who won’t be fired the minute the Zero is inaugurated.

Yes, it appears that Obama plans on nationalizing corruption by importing The Chicago Way into Washington, D.C....
That sounds about right.
There’s just something a bit off about him .. and proven again in that presser, where he totally overreached his ethical boundaries as a US Atty.
That's where it gets iffy. Was he setting bait? Did he subsequently catch someone giving a statement at odds with the facts (as in the more convoluted Libby case)? And if so, will he follow through with the same stubborn tenacity?
This case is as much about Fitz as it is about Blago and Obama.

This is an interesting post but many here on FR posted basically the same thing a month ago. Not because we knew the facts but because we know Fitzgerald. He is NOT going to go after his new boss. Period. If you take that simple fact (and the assumption that Obama is knee deep in Chicago corruption) and run with it you will be able to see future of this case quite clearly. It is going nowhere. Blago may or may not go down but nobody close to The One will be touched.
Hard to know how to predict any outcome with the Fitz.
