All one need do is watch the news regarding politics and religion during the holidays to discover that there is indeed a culture war going on in America.
The reason the war exists at all is because secular progressives cannot stand practicing Jews, Catholics, Protestants, Evangelical Christians or Christianity, they do not want to answer to God for their behavior, and the concept of a natural connection between Jews and Christians as it relates to the birth of our nation, the U.S. Constitution and service to Jehovah is even more repugnant to them.
In addition, secular progressives are on a mission to confuse others who are stuck in the middle, lost, unsure what they believe, or are atheist republicans and pull them over to the dark side if they can.
To find evidence of the hatred secular progressives have for organized, reverent religion and our Lord who inspires it, just study Supreme Court and other case law.
Secular progressives support the sadistic slaughter of innocent babies, they hate any allowance of prayer in school, they force people to consider and discuss homosexuality, bestiality and other sexual deviancy like the pedophilia that the North American Man Boy Love Association promotes as normal.

Wrong.
Without that, you sound like Jon Cleese in Monty Python's "Argument Sketch".
Couldn’t agree more with the writer. Liberals hate the fact that God exists because that makes them accountable for their actions. They hate Jesus Christ even more despite the fact that He brings the good news of Salvation for everyone to accepts Him.
Have no idea who you are, why would I care what you think about what I post?
Very true! Christ's sacrificial death makes then doubly accountable, too, since not only are they responsible for their own sin, but they are also responsible for the fact that they had a freely given love gift of mercy extended to them, but they refuse to take it. Hence, to them, God is bad, but Christ specifically is even worse.
I'm sorry, I was wrong.
I believe there are forums for simply slinging one-word snarks, though I could not, nor would not personally direct you to such.
That would be impolite.
Then we have nothing to talk about. Bye!
Oh, and if you're into snarks:

Denby's book seems right up your ally. Don't thank me! ;)
You and ADReditor are personally acquainted, then. Is it amicable, or are you like boxers holding the joint presser the day before the big match?

thank you!
Well, did you read the full article?
Yes, I read it immediately, and I realize it’s not a subject I feel like commenting on after all. As one of the atheist Republicans mentioned in the article, I sometimes forget that it’s rather pointless to discuss these issues here.
Unfortunately, it’s not entirely true. We have plenty of religious conservatives who are more than willing to engage in character assassination against fellow conservatives who largely agree with them, rather than using that energy against the progressives you mention. A name that comes immediately to mind is Dr. James Dobson.
Bad enough that we have to fight with the “progressives” (who seek only to retard human progress), but to have to deal with back-shooters like Dobson, or religious pseuo-conservatives like Huckabee is abominable. It would be far better to save one’s rhetorical ammunition for REAL foes, than to attack your natural allies (like economic or defense conservatives that may not agree with your religious beliefs)
Good point. Just remember we are still praying for you.
No man can serve two masters.
“No man can serve two masters.”
True, but they CAN be helpful to the conservative cause without being religious. Attitudes like what you’re displaying are why we lose supporters, and elections, in that order. That may be fine if you want to be a permanent minority and unable to make the changes you seek, but for those who want to get something DONE, it is not terribly effective.
Case in point would be the tiff between Thompson and Dr. Dobson. All it did was drive people away from both, really.
That’s very nice, sincerely, but I don’t see the point in praying for a nonbeliever. But I won’t get into that, either. :)
