Exactly. The western world would never have emerged from the dark ages and become the becon of hope and enlightenment and advancement to the rest of the world had it not been for the Catholic Church.

And now the world is falling backwards into paganism again. The light of the Lord’s Millennium rule through His church is being rejected just as the Lord prophesied.

sorry Philly, Not in India.. India is the place where the religious tolerance is the most and every religion is accepted well in the society.. U know what, here in India we still don’t have common civil law.. Muslims have their own civil law.. by this you can understand how much freedom every religion or citizen got.. once in a while there’ll be some incidents, that too rare.. and no religion is an exception, including Hindu..

"for what? we do have standard colour which never fades like whites.. Lol.. :) we are already tan.. no need sun baths and sun burns.. have a nice day nathan.."

I meant try being white and see what kind of discrimination and hatred is cast our way. Doesn't matter what KIND of white you are either. If you are white, you are automatically guilty of being an Anglo imperialist and responsible for all the woes of other minorities.

And I have no need to tan and sunburn either. I like my white skin and blue eyes blond hair and good looks, and enjoy the envy all the colored people of various ethnicities (who all basically look the same as one another due to limited genetic material) have of my white skin and the individual looks my widely variable genetics affords me.

Have a nice day as well.

"India is the place where the religious tolerance is the most and every religion is accepted well in the society.."

Not true at all, and you didn't mention the Indian Caste system, which is barbaric and extremely discrimatory.

Perhaps religious tolerance is more the norm in Bombay, but travel into southern India and religious tolerance vanishes. either Muslims attack Hindu's or Hindu's are attacking Muslims, or Christians, and it happens with regularity.

Dear nathan..
I am from Southern India and i feel i know better. And the city where i am living is the most muslim populated area.. though there are some muslim youth who are trapped for pakistani jihadis there is absolute religious harmony among the religions.. coming to the caste system, there are pros and cons..

don’t tell me that there are no differences among the western christians.. if i am not wrong they too are divided like protestants, Catholics etc., etc.,

"But His Church will survive until the end of time..."

Not on this earth, because:

"The world with all it craves for is coming to an end..." (1 Jn.2:17).

"The Day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then with a roar the sky will vanish, the elements will catch fire and fall apart, the earth and all that it contains will be burnt up." (2 Peter 3:10).

"Lord, you yourself have proclaimed that this place will be destroyed, that no one will live here ever again, neither man nor beast, but that it will remain desolate forever." (Jer.51:62).

"You must not love this passing world or anything that is in the world. The love of the Father cannot be in any man who loves the world...because the world, with all it craves for, is coming to an end..." (1 Jn.2:15-17).

Jesus says:

"After I have gone and prepared you a place, I shall return to take you with me..." (Jn.14:3).

Not: "stay here with you"

""I know quite well that when I have gone, fierce wolves will invade you and will have no mercy on the flock. Even from your own ranks there will be men coming forward with a travesty of the truth on their lips to induce the disciples to follow them. So be on your guard..." (Acts 20:29-30).

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea.
I saw the holy city, and the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, as beautiful as a bride all dressed for her husband.

Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'You see this city? Here God lives among men. He will make his home among them; they shall be his people, and he, himself will be their God...There will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness. The world of the past has gone.'

Then the One sitting on the throne spoke: 'Now I am making the whole of creation new' he said. 'Write this: that what I am saying is sure and will come true.' And then he said, 'It is already done." (Rv.21:4-5).

I agree anigalla and I hate to see it. I work with many Indians because I’m in the high tech field, and I can’t say a bad thing about them. They are smart, hard working people. I don’t particularly like it when corporations hire them from overseas rather than American workers, but then, sometimes it is difficult to find qualified American workers that don’t have an entitlement mentality anymore, especially the young kids nowadays.

I have a few Hindu good friends who have taught me a lot about India, and even convinced me to go on a trip to India with them as my guide and keep me out of trouble.

It's a beautiful place but there is also a lot of ugly hiding off the popular beaten trails as well.

"don’t tell me that there are no differences among the western christians.. if i am not wrong they too are divided like protestants, Catholics etc., etc.,"

We don't kill each other over them. (except maybe in Ireland, but they are mentally retarded anyways) In fact we go to each others churches for weddings and funerals, baptisms etc. in the real western world.

". coming to the caste system, there are pros and cons.."

That depends on how high you rate on the caste system doesn't it?

I doubt anyone on the lowest rung of that ladder would say there are any "pro's" to it at all, especially when their lifelong job is cleaning out outhouses for the higher caste for 2 cents a day, and their children's future is doing the same thing.

we too go to the other caste/religion’s temples/church/mosque and we too attend each other’s festivals and funerals.. actually we are like a family, but some times it may be due to the politics or it may be due to the wrong teachings at certain religious schools change a little amount of people.. but over all i would say there is a good harmony..

coming to the caste system.. Dr.B.R.Ambedkar wrote out constitution saying that there must be reservation system in education/employment/sports etc., etc., almost everything for a period of 10years from the day we got freedom.. but it has been 60 years but every government that comes will just extend 10 more years and 10 more years and 10 more years..

i don’t deny the fact that there are still some people who are backward at certain places, but at the same time i won’t totally agree with a reservation based on caste.. a reservation should be based on economic status of a family. if the family is poor, if government support them then it is reasonable. here there are any poor people those who belongs to higher castes and just because they are from higher caste they have to struggle a lot in order to finish their studies/ to get a job..

simple example: let us say i am from a higher caste.. i got a score of 120 out of 200 in a competitive test and there is another guy from backward caste who secured 60 or 80 out of 200.. but our reservation system will give him a seat in computers engg. with fee wavier and monthly scholarship, and i will only manage to get a civil engg seat under payment quota.. what if i am from a middle/lower middle class family? who will pay my fees? and how i can complete my 4years education by paying thousands of rupees? at the end.. a merit candidate will end up doing a veterinary course and a fellow with little knowledge will come out from the college as a neurosurgeon.. :) is this reasonable? is this logical? and by the time we come out from the college, there will be a government job waiting for them under reservation quota and for me nothing.. :)

So, don’t just imagine that all the lower caste people are cleaning someone’s house for 2cents a day.. those days are gone.. Now modern india in two words.. “Majority People are minorities” and “higher caste people are lower in the eyes of governments and political parties” because at the end all they want is votes.. and that is why those reservations will never end..

BTW.. You must go to India once in your life time and make sure you have atleast 30 to 40 dyas time.. that is the minimum time you need if you want to touch the corners of india.. at least most places if not all the places..

Wooahh. Slow down there cowboy. You really think people out there envy your features? Sure, some of us darker skinned people might see you as a curiosity, but envy is a strong word.

And in my world and almost everybody’s world, envy is reserved for the higher functioning members of society, not a skin color.

Now, time to work on my tan. I think I’ll just sit inside and play Madden. :P

My only problem with Indians is their .... Cooking. It stinks to high heaven.

When our daughter and SIL lived in an apartment Indians lived right below on the 1st Floor. Visiting was not pleasant. I had to hold my breath going in and out of the building or I'd almost puke.

(yet liberal anti smoking nazis will allow this air pollution while wanting to hang any smoker. go figure)

Welcome to the club. Recently I’ve been predicting that in this century, India will replace the United States as the world’s most important nation. We Americans like you, but it looks like most nations will feel otherwise when you’re at the top.
