Obama won't back the protesters because if the thugocracy crushes them, Barry will need to negotiate with the mullahs. It's getting harder and harder to justify that position when you see stuff like this. This woman was reportedly just standing with her father watching the protests when the Iranian State police gunned her down. If you would prefer to go for ice cream, like the president did this afternoon, instead of witnessing the tyranny that Obama is appeasing, I don't blame you. But then again, you are not the President of the United States.

I saw the video of the young woman after she was shot. Absolutely horrible. I’ve seen people die before but it never gets easier to watch. But the look in her eyes was horrible to watch.
Collective News Media Presstitutes: “What flavor?” “Can we have some?” “How do you keep so physically fit with your ‘busy schedule’ and being such a great leader and father figure?” “Isn’t Michelle just the most beautiful and well-dressed woman in human history?”
When some twitterers complained that maybe President Obama's time could be better spent given the crisis in Iran, Knoller responded, "Surprised by the outrage at the ice cream outing. What is it you expect or want the US to do about Iran? Attack? War?"Maybe hold council with his generals and advisers and maybe come up with some OPTIONS?
Just a thought here. I don't know.
Being FRICKIN' President of the United States of America, after all.
He might want to show a little FRICKIN' INTEREST in FRICKIN' policy.
I don't know. Just a thought.
Doesn’t the video exist on youtube? I don’t want to create a facebook account.
Never, Ever! - forget that those Persians are Muslims.
Who cares what happens there unless someone with more insight, foresight, and backbone than the Obamassiah decides to make ‘em glow in the dark.
I am tired of Muslims wanting to kill me.
ISLAM DELENDA EST ! ! !
Who’s side, if either, should we be on??
Makes you think.
If obama were to make a strong statement about Iran’s treatment of their citizens, he couldn’t then later treat Americans the same way without the world calling him a hypocrite could he? Hmmm
Youtube keeps deleting it. You can find it on Huffington Post - they saved it on to their own servers.
Did it ever occur to you, that people who don’t want to live in a fuedal theocracy are fighting for it. That comment was ignorant. The young generation there wants to get rich, travel, kiss in public, and surf the net.
The side that doesn’t snipe a young woman from a rooftop, as she stands beside her father. It’s pretty simple.

3rd video down...I don’t think HP links last long on FR
It would have been convenient for them to have won the election then, wouldn't it?
It’s too damned bad the liberals in the 80’s in their shortsitedness to undercut Reagon took away a potential way of helping a revolution there.
True. One might have been able to say the same thing about the Polish strikers of Solidarity, “they are still commie’s”. However, the young Iranians are very pro-Western. They are also infinitely less dangerous than the Apocalyptic death cult run by Khameni and Ajad.
And Reagan, too.
Barry’s having some “rocky road” to show solidarity.
HORRIBLE! But The Left in America Bless these Barbarians and curse Us for alleged Torture that is Nothing compared to Their Hero’s, the Dictators of the World! Khalid Shiek Mohammed laughs at Our Traitors and Vows to destroy Us as he sits in Our Prison eating Caviar and Filet Mignon! and OBOZO goes out to enjoy Ice Cream.
That’s not quite what I was asking.
You imply I might support sniping women which I don’t. I was asking if , politically, there’s a side the US should be supporting.
Zero ain’t saying much probably because he plans to suppress us like the Mulluhs are doing in Iran, someday.
I saw the video on the Facebook page “Tehran Bureau” and one of the comments was very interesting. It said. Something like “ I didn’t like GWB, but I was wrong and he was right. These people (Iranian gov’t) really are evil!”
These protests are purely about “freedom” which is a yawner for the left. The existing regime is very economically socialist in ways, given that, why would you need freedom. Thats where were headed here, whats to complain about? /sarc
The Letter says
We are coming for you!
Some portion of Iran are not the bloodythirsty lunatics that the jihadists (found in many of the mad mo-influenced or dominated nations) are.
I daresay some are probably not all that religious but dominated by the society run by imam mullahs.
Revelation indicates that (Christian) saints come from every nation on the Earth. Somehow, I believe the Lord is going to get the Gospel to a certain percentage of Iranians, too (though I can’t pretend to know what that percentage is).
It would appear to me, as an outsider, that some portion of these protesters see Ahmadnutjob as taking them to a virtual Armageddon with the diabolical grin and slap-on-the-back from his mullah masters. Rightfully so, they probably want to avoid a conflict with Israel and perhaps others.
A conflict that not too many years down the road that could be nuclear; if Iran shoots a nuke first. Or prepares to shoot a nuke first.
So they tried to vote him out. And their votes were quite obviously not counted.
It’s definitely a defining moment in their history. But I have my doubts about the whole country doing truly democratic. Because mixing mad mo with democracy, at least in the Middle East, is unlikely a long-term proposition.
Except that not all of them are Muslim, Liberals are no different from the thugs who currently run Iran. How long until what’s happening in Iran starts occurring here? Maybe an ACORN run Census, or imposed Socialist Health Care, would be the trigger.
Jimmy Carter Redux. Jimmy Carter, the Godfather of the Islamic Revolution!
AN EXCELLENT SITE IN ENGLISH AND FARSI IS:
Videos, Tweets, on the spot commentaries are constantly updated.
Anyone have information on the latest positions of Reza Pahlevi, the son of the late Shah? He appeared often and spoke out against the repressive regime on French news earlier in the week, but nothing since.
He and his family haved lived in the DC area for many, many years. He was educated in the US, and is very pro-western, pro-American.
Why does youtube keep deleting it.
It seems to be gone. I’m just going to sign up for facebook.
Not sure what Youtube’s policy is but it is very graphic. It’s hard to watch.
I found it. It’s now much farther down. New videos keep piling on.
Kudos to HP for keeping this stuff on their servers.
F* youtube.
Good site for news up to the minute about Iran from inside on :
Besides going for Ice Cream, fiddling while Rome burns, getting in touch with his inner Nero, what has Obama done to continue the GOP/Conservative relation with the CIA and Iranian exiles?
Obama is getting more in touch with his inner Jimmy Carter as well.
Obama should be meeting in private with his CIA task forces on Iran, unless, of course, he has dissolved them.
The US under Reagan ,Bush 41, and Bush 43, had strong, excellent ties, and close relations with the Iranian community in exile, here in the US, in France, and around the world.
The CIA worked closely within dissident factions inside Iran, and in the exile community. They developed connections, resources, and forces inside Iran.
The late Shah’s son, Reza Pahlevi, lives in the DC area with his family.
“But the look in her eyes was horrible to watch.”
Yes, that was haunting and it hurt more to hear the cries of anguish from her father.
Perhaps you don’t know, they DID win the election. Wasn’t even close. That’s what this mess is all about. Nutjob came in third, but since he had guns, Arabic speaking police and military on his side, game’s over. He won.
The going for ice cream definitely makes it appear that Obama is disinterested in what is happening in Iran (perhaps he is already in on the outcome). If everything were on the up and up though; I have to agree with him not coming out and making a statement. The Iranian government is already jumping on Iranian Nationalism as a means of going after the protesters by casting them as agents of the West. Any statement that we make will be used to back up that claim. Words are hollow at this point. They need help not comfort.
Very disturbing.
But I’m glad it didn’t stop the Ayatollah Obama and his little group of Ayatollettes from enjoying their ice cream.
Pass along this video and show people what Khomeni is doing to his own people.
If it’s like this THERE, it will be worse when it gets HERE.
Hope for the Best; Prepare for the Worst.
James Madison:
Americans need never fear their government because of the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation.
I saw it also. The look in her eyes will never leave me. I think she knew she would die in seconds. Truly mind numbing.
I forwaded the link to only one person - someone I know with a strong constitution.
In a way I hope it is more widely seen.....the urge to see the same look in the eyes of the Iranian regime would be overwhelming.
Her name was Neda, which according to wikipedia means divine messenger. Very fitting, I think.
Apparently, she was just an innocent bystander, watching the protest with her father. How horrifying...I hope America can avoid this path and that we will never lose our freedom of assembly.
Making things up serves no purpose.
What prison? What menu?
Or admit you made it up.
Utterly disgusting and horrible! The Iranian people want FREEDOM!! FREEDOM!! FREEDOM!! Go Iranians!!!! Don’t stop even if your going through hell!!!!!!!!1
FReegards
The side of the people who want to be free to have an election without the Mullahs calling the shots on who can run, who wins and who will get the crap beat out of them if they complain.
If you believe, as does Obama, that we have no right to take sides in this election, let me give you a quote from Mike Pense, Conservative Republican congressman on TV today:
"When he was in Berlin, Ronald Regan didn't say "Mr. Gorbachev, this wall is none of our business".
Perhaps that will help you appreciate what real Conservatives feel.....perhaps not.
I can understand where you are coming from. Islam is an evil religion and true adherents of Islam are guided by an ugly ideology which really should be stamped out.
But let’s not go too far. Not all Persians are Muslims. Many are Jews, Christians, Zoroastrians, and, probably most common of all, MINOs. I would actually wager that a great many people throughout the Middle East are MINOs, ignorant of the particulars of their “religion of peace” apart from a few choice lines here and there that they are taught to memorize and recite from the Qur’an. Most of these are simply normal human beings who are told lie after lie about how their religion is peaceful and enlightened.
Making generalizations about broad groups and advocating the destruction of those groups is THEIR approach. As Americans, we’re much better than that. As long as there is a Good Lord up in heaven watching down upon us and this world, there will never be a need to wipe out entire populations to protect ourselves.
We can work for the destruction and overthrow the evil ones and pray for the misguided.
I think Obama’s ice cream outing means he’s gearing up for more golf tomorrow: he always seems to get a family photo op in the day before. And in this case he’s also setting the scene for his Father’s Day appearances tomorrow morning.
The ‘green’ side. Against the ‘green, white and red’ (Amedinejad) side.
Contact your Republican Congressional representatives and shame them on the census. I called Burr and told him he needed to stand with Michele Bachmann. My 75 year old mother says she is not going to give all that info. Our Republican leaders need to lead!
Ayatoilettes? Commodarie? I read “toilet” instead of “tollettes” either fits well.
It does!! I like Reagan’s philosophy.
Watching this unfold should teach us 2 things
Our military should be made up of American citizens and we must fight to preserve the Second Amendment
Fox News just reported that this woman was beaten. Good grief Fox, what the heck?
