The American conservative movement has devolved into an all fear movement, hopping from one hot-button "fear this" specter to another with a propaganda machine that would make many a fear-monger of the past blush. Fear "death panels." Fear the Marxist in the closet. Fear "government." Fear the imagined civilian "security force" being built. Fear ACORN and SEIU, Nancy Pelosi and Bernie Sanders. He sees ACORNs everywhere, and imagines Marxists in every closet. His favorite term for government advisers and department heads is "CZAR." and it's not an accident. He uses it to further fears that somehow, once again, the Commies are coming!
At the spear head of the right wing fear machine are the talk radio crowd. Too easily dismissed in the past, the real power of right wing radio is becoming more obvious. Literally tens of millions of "ditto heads" and the like tune in each and every day, sometimes for hours a day, to hear different versions of the latest talking points.
Sure, there are differences. Limbaugh is mostly a blowhard, Hannity mostly a bully-coward. And Glenn Beck is a quasi-messianic cuckoo. Still, if that was all, Beck could be dismissed and ignored, blowing in the wind to those who will listen. But there's more to it. He's pushing the envelope of sanity on those who might be dancing on a knife edge already.
What does it take for a person to move from disgruntled, angry, or disenchanted to a potential terrorist? They must feel victimized.(continued)

These same behaviors were, of course, noble, brave and patriotic when the Left was performing them.
Now that liberals are attempting complete domination of all power, resistance is a bad thing to be controlled and eliminated by whatever means necessary.
And they compare Bush to Hitler.
As yet, the pretenders are throwing garbage at Beck. (They live in it, so it’s handy, if ineffective, as ammunition.) However, believing that Obama’s goons may soon escalate the violence, I do hope Glenn has enough security watching his back.

Want fear mongering?! Within two years something somewhere in this country is going to go boom again. With Iraq decomposing, our willingness to hand over to the enemy our secrets on interrogation and limiting our own freedom of movement when dealing with high value prisoners, our de-emphasizing of the terrorist threat and focus on civil rights and white collar crime within the DOJ, the closing of GITMO, Obama’s reluctance to take risk or be associated with anything that looks bad when it comes to the DoD................ We're setting the stage for something to happen from Iraq to our airports where we're dropping our guard as well. Don't know exactly when or what will go up in smoke, but at the macro level we're reallocating resources, retreating, and de-emphasizing our vigilance overseas and nationally, in military efforts related to countering the terrorist threat, intelligence, and the DOJ. The stage is being set. We no longer have a GWOT nor terrorists according to this new White House.
Beck doesn’t fear the commies are coming, he is pointing out they already are here.
And to anyone who understands the left this is not a surprise. American “liberals” hold all kinds of crazy beliefs and favor all sorts of immoral propositions. Like opposition to the War on Terror, support for Castro and Chavez, opposing missile DEFENSES, saddling the economy with billions in taxes over a global warming fantasy. The democrats have had avowed marxists in Congress for years.
How long ago was it that all the libs were so afraid of the “vast right wing conspiracy”, Bush, Cheney and Haliburton?
Let’s see. The argument runs: If somebody says something is to be “feared,” then that thing doesn’t exist.
I get it. So the Democrats say we need to fear poverty, underfunded schools, runaway health costs, and heartless insurance companies.
So those terrible things don’t exist!
