The Olympics will not be held in Chicago. So has Obama failed Chicago? Not really: hosting the Olympics is a decidedly mixed blessing and this will be forgotten soon. Obama, however, has failed black America, and that failure may linger for a long time. The election of a black president, all other things being equal, is a good sign in American politics. All things, though, were not equal in the case of Barack Obama. He was not and is not wedded to the grand principles of American greatness. The blessings of citizenship are squandered on Barack Obama, just as the honor of being the first black president is wasted on him. It is not that American lacks great black Americans.
Clarence Thomas is a truly great black American. He felt the sting of real bigotry much more harshly than Obama. Thomas faced and then overcame the quiet anger than many blacks of his generation must have honestly felt. Instead of becoming an advocate for his race, Thomas became an advocate for constitutional government. He did not fall into the well of intractable grievances. Justice Thomas rose above them.

By being the suckiest president since Carter and screwing up the chances of any other future black candidate.... that’s how Obama has failed us.
Because of O’s failures and corruption, no black candidate will have a chance to be elected President for a hundred years.
Obama has failed ALL Americans
I think about that a lot. But, it was black America that turned out in droves and voted like robots for the most inexperienced representative of their race. It is shameful that they voted with their race and not with their brains.
As a woman, I would never blindly vote for a woman candidate, in fact I have constantly thought the world does not respect women enough yet to even warrant a woman candidate. I have always said no to that, but Palin may change my mind. Maybe VP first.
An article well worth sharing. Thanks!
Agreed totally. He's one of the smartest men in the world, and almost unknown because of the racist lefty press.
On a completely different topic, how did a fine, smart, strong good looking woman like Condi Rice stay single all these years? That's the only thing that's always troubled me about her.
I also meant to add in my comment that I agree with your post, too. 0bama’s failure will mean that guy like JC Watts or Ken Blackwell will never have a shot at the Presidency. It will be blamed on race, when it was really ideology, lack of experience, and gullible American voters who put him into a position where he was over his head that caused him to fail.
I'm not so sure it was all about race. If it was, a Condi Rice, Colin Powell or J.C Watts would have been voted for in the same percentages. Instead, the black Democratic block vote went for the black Democratic candidate. Party was first, race was secondary.
Margret Thatcher and Golda Meier did very well.
I would have voted for them. I am a guy.
Nine months later, that voting block has discovered that beyond this, Obama is a racist himself. When greeted with cop doing his job and an arrogant, elitist black college professor, he automatically assumes with no knowledge of the facts that "the police behaved stupidly."
Now, that white voting block is beginning to complain about the President's policies and plans, and of course this massive drop in the president's approval ratings has produced the expected knee-jerk cries of "RACISM!!!" from Obama's followers. You and I know this is only a reaction to his views, because if this shift is really racism, then it means that 30% of America actually had no idea Obama was black when they elected him.
But, it was black America that turned out in droves and voted like robots for the most inexperienced representative of their race.
Obama hasn’t failed black Americans, black Americans have failed America.
Well, duh! They're "not really black"!
And don’t forget Dr. Walter Williams.
“Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” For your country, you can ‘play by the rules’, i.e., stay in school and actually LEARN something, don't have illegitimate babies, take responsibility for your own life, stop thinking the world owes you anything, stop selling and using illicit drugs, GET A NON-GOVERNMENTAL JOB, pay taxes, etc.
Obama has failed ALL Americans.
Dang - I should have known someone else would post this before I did!
Glad you liked the post.
AT is always good to start the day!
Rush’s listeners never forget him. W.W. is one of the best sub hosts Rush has.
Now the country is in the pits.
A person (man or woman) with the drive to achieve what Dr. Rice has achieved is not the best candidate for a happy marriage. If she'd married a man with equal drive, they'd likely have been miserable on the rare occasions they saw one another. Or she could have married a weakling, and despised him. Being single seems like the smartest and most productive choice, to me.
That's the only thing that's always troubled me about her.
I was much more troubled by many of the policies she promoted as Secretary of State, although that's not solely her responsibility, since she was the (apparently loyal) representative of the Bush administration.
What else can you expect from B.O.?
Black trojan horse.
Okay... I concur with Thatcher, but with their government it is a bit different. Roust Thatcher & Reagan! Again, completely understanding the dynamics of our world is tantamount to our country’s ability to survive. If even 1/3 of the world rejects the idea of a woman as a strong leader, then it is too great a risk. I also think Thatcher had some iron presence that many women lack, including myself.
Yeah, he doesn’t discriminate, he reams everybody equally.
You push the "Stupid" button, you get the results you deserve.
"It was the most memorable time of my life, I...it was a touching moment because I never thought this day would ever happen. I won't have to work out how to put gas in my car, I won't have work out how to pay my mortgage. If I help him, he's gonna help me."
No comment necessary.

Its hard to find a good man. My best friend, also a fine accomplished, intelligent, conservative black woman, is still single because she can’t find a good man.
Right. Because we all know that white Democratic candidates for President never get 90+ percent of the black vote. So it had to be about his race.
Can you be specific? Are white going to now begin voting against black Presidential candidates no matter what the views of the candidates?
You are missing the point. Maybe you also missed the Black Panther footage. I was talking about how upset I would be if I was black and the first black American was elected as president and was a bumbling idiot. It would also infuriate me to hear stereotypical terms like “articulate”. This man now represents black Americans all over the world, they could have picked a better representative. I do not care about blacks who vote for white Democrats. This is about voting for someone whom you thought would represent the best your race has to offer the world.
Even if true she still would have made a worthy replacement for Cheney in 2004 (as some of us advocated in 2002), thus being groomed for the top spot in 2008. Too late now, but it was the only thing that made political sense for having a good shot at retaining the White House post-Bush and making for a truly historic 2008 election.
In the parts of the world I've been, there was already a very low opinion of black Americans, probably due to Oprah and Jesse Jackson. Would a President Rice have been a great President? I don't know, but she certainly has a lot of leadership experience. Would a President Rice have been an utter disaster? No. She's smarter than that.
I'm waiting for someone to get the balls to draw up a comparison between the US of 2009+ and a post-colonial African nation.
I think so. Just my opinion. I feel like a great deal of white people were taking a chance that Obama may have worked out and will not be willing to take that chance again, no matter the merits of the next black candidate. Ofcourse, I am generalizing, but....
