Maybe McCain was just made to “stand in” while The Wave of Obama Spread over the country? And Sarah considered it a real election?

You need two US Citizen Parents, and be born on US soil to be a Natural Born Citizen.

This is YOUR OPINION, not settled law.

The fact remains that there has not been a case before the SCOTUS to determine if jus sanguinis alone is sufficient or if jus soli is also required for one to be a NBC.

McCain didn’t run for the presidency, he merely “stood for election” in the 19th century sense of the term. He could have run his ‘campaign’ from his front porch in Arizona & been as effective — which is to say, not much.

Gee. You mean it’ll come out faster if no-one mentions it? Well why didn’t I think of that before. Stroke of genius!!!

Instead of being a smart alec, consider this:

The people investigating this have very limited power and ability versus Obama who has near limitless power and ability to obfuscate, delay, etc.

An investigator who can work behind the scenes will get a great deal more accomplished than one trying to score some points with the media.

I've been around long enough to know that this public posturing on the issue is ineffective beyone a certain point. We have gone beyond that point and it is time to switch tactics.

you raise some valid points I believe but I believe we can take him on on this AND go after his agenda. we can do both at the same time. like I said, with each passing day of the BC issue being put out there, the fact his entire past is covered up is also being mentioned again and again and again. one heck of a lot of ‘on the fence’ American voters who were not doing their homework, not paying attention prior to the election, maybe younger voters fooled by his speeches and oratory, (neither worth a damn imo. by the way), ‘abilities’ now see just what kind of man was elected. how can that be bad? it is not just the BC thing going on here even tho it is in the forefront, but all of his hidden past dealings being discussed to. we can go after his agenda and this together without any problem. how can that be bad?

only Sarah fought (and she was reprimanded for it by mccain’s group)

You’re right. Palin’s performance puts on the top of the list for now.

I agree that the coverup is, as always, worse than the actual fact.

Making an issue of his sealed past is an excellent way to hit the BC issue without stating it.

You hit that on the head. He could have phoned in his campaign.
Thats what you get when the party picks a man whose only skill is double crossing the party.

It’s not just a technicality.

Otherwise you end up in the subjective realm of... ok , how long can a kid live overseas before having ties to the soil he was born on? What majority of a persona early life has to be lived in a given area before becoming bonded to that area. It is far easier to make the distinction at birth and have it stand. Citizenship is decided at BIRTH legally. No other time. That is the instant where it is decided, and that technicality matters.

Also, your daughter, unless she was born on a US Military base, would not be a Natural Born Citizen. A citizen yes, but Natural Born, I am afraid not. I am not pointing this out to make you wrong or to in any denigrate you or your daughter. In order for her to have definitive US Citizenship status at the laws of the time she was born, likely you did have to do all that to secure her US passport and any other documents you needed at the time. I don’t know when she was born, so I can’t say specifically.

What I have been researching are the laws at the time of Obama’s birth. Which at that time, would mean that both he, and your daughter (if she were born in 61) mean that they are not Natural Born Citizens. You must have two parents who are citizens and be born on the soil of the country or its territory.

Yes, it absolutely does effect Jindal. If his parents were not Naturalized citizens at the time of his birth, he is not a Natural Born Citizen.

Yep, 20/20 hindsight. SO many wondered what the heck was up. Now we know. McCain didn’t open up the whole can of Whompass because he was just as compromised as Obama and for the same reason.

You are welcome!

I hope that it makes some positive difference in the end when it is all said and done.

Thanks for saying this--we need to keep remembering there is that "bright line" of natural born POTUS citizenship that's meant to act to protect us.

I hate to answer this tremendously important issue with a cliche... but it really is true. Freedom isn’t free. It is bought and paid for in blood.

With a non-binding Senate Resolution? Are you serious? How does that affirm anything?

Exactly right. The Congress by itself cannot negate the restriction in the Constitution.

That is what brought us Watergate and Nixon's retirement.

Datelined Las Vegas?

Hua wha? Ok thats a new one to me. All I know is that I publish there, if someone wanted to republish it, technically because I own my own copyright to the material, they would have to contact me. No one has so far. I know that it has appeared on other blogs, and is getting mentioned. I am compl;etely fine with that. I am not writing to make a profit. I am writing because I feel that these things need to be said, and need to be discussed. Someone has to start the conversation, and if I can do that, if I can help put this into the main stream consciousness, then I am not gonna twiddle about copyright. The subject matter is frankly too serious.

If other Media want to pick up on it, then I hope by all means they do so. I hope I get some credit in the process, certainly I give credit to my sources. But even at that, The matter is more important than the messenger.
