ikeonic: Victim of Palin Zot
Ikeonic ^ | 12/5/2009 | Ikeonic

Posted on 12/05/2009 9:54:41 AM PST by ikeonic

Sarah's explanation of why she legitimized the birther conspiracy theorists feeds right into her victimhood storyline:

Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask … which they have repeatedly.
Ah yes... Palin was a victim of a massive left wing conspiracy that forced her to courageously step down as Alaska's governor.  So it's only fair (to her mind) that Obama be hounded by an equally loony right wing conspiracy -- the birthers.  Well, you just can't argue with logic like that!

Rick Moran at Pajamas Media takes Palin to task and then some.  Here's a sample:

I note that some Palin fans are trying to spin the fact that she never called on the president to produce his birth certificate or questioned his citizenship. They are missing the point. Sarah Palin has said that these questions are legitimate, that voters have a right to know, and that “a lot” of citizens are concerned about it.

She didn’t say what any rational person on the right or left believes: that questions about the president’s birth have been settled by the state of Hawaii, that only a very small group of citizens are even concerned about the issue, and that an equally small number of people were even aware of the ridiculous controversy over Trig’s origins.

Moran continues:
Those who are tempted to say that Sarah Palin’s attempt to legitimize the birther movement will destroy her campaign should forget it. It will never happen. She is immunized against such career-ending gaffes by her loyal followers who don’t want to listen to anyone when they criticize, laugh, or beat their heads against a wall over the latest evidence that as presidential material Palin would make a good candidate for the mayor of Wasilla.
The problem is, unless the GOP — and that includes Rush Limbaugh and the other cotton candy conservatives who wield a lot of influence — stand up and denounce her in no uncertain terms, birtherism will have gone completely mainstream in the Republican Party. If that happens, you might want to forget about any significant gains at the polls for the GOP in 2010.
By her stupidity, she is now going to force every GOP candidate for the House and Senate to come out and declare whether they are birther nuts or not.
Indeed.  Read the whole story here.

The only reason I bother these days to post anything about Palin is merely to declare that I rue the day McCain ever picked her as his running mate (stupidest decision of his adult life) and pray that someday soon she will return to Alaska and disappear.  Palin is the poison pill that threatens to sink the entire GOP and I refuse to take that pill and go down with her.

I'm not going to hold my nose and vote for Palin.  I can not go to my grave with that vote on my conscience.  It was bad enough holding my nose and voting for her to be one heartbeat away from the Presidency.  If she is our nominee in 2012 or 2016 or 20xx, I will vote for a third party or none of the above.  If she's all we got, then we deserve to lose.  It's that simple.

Now some might call me hypocritical for supporting Palin while she was the nominee.  True enough... but I'll leave it to Chuckles Johnson to offer up an explanation for anything I wrote in support of Palin last year:

Says Chuckles: "I was skeptical of her, but I was ready to defend her, because it was hyper-partisan time."

On that much, I'll agree with Chuckles -- and I agree with little Chuckles has to say these days.  In hyper-partisan mode, I too said a lot of things to defend Palin.  I swallowed hard and praised her just as I know it pained others to praise McCain during the campaign.

But once the election was over, I pulled few punches with Palin.  Just as every RINO hating social conservative wasted no time in spouting their hatred for McCain once the election was over.  I was always a McCain supporter (and wish he'd beat Bush in 2000), but never liked Palin for anything other than her ability to regurgitate sound bites (more like bait) to appeal to the base.

I always preferred Pawlenty and think McCain would have been far better served to lose with honor with Pawlenty at his side than to throw a Hail Mary with Palin and unknowingly launch the career of the all but certain destructor of the modern day GOP.  In the end, the shadow of Sarah Palin may well drawf all the good McCain accomplished in the US Senate.

You know, Sarah's just asking questions, that's all... just a real, true patriotic American asking questions... you know, instead of governing Alaska like the voters of Alaska elected her to do...

Governor Palin is just another victim, as was Dan Quayle, of a vicious attack by beasts who aren't even human. They're aliens from another planet.

If you don't believe me just look at Waxman.

If he was standing outside looking at a rainfall he'd drown.

This is what the Democrat Party is: alien, inhuman.

Okay, for the sake of argument, I'll accept your argument. Now, let's say she wins the Presidency (when hell freezes over)... wouldn't she be subject to tons more phony charges by the vast left wing conspiracy? How long before she'd have to resign as President? Or do you believe as President she could vanquish all the liberals once and for all?

You can't say it was a barrage phony charges that forced her to resign as governor in one breath and then in another breath say she could handle the job pressures of the Presidency. It's a completely illogical argument... but then again, I'm not used to hearing many original logical arguments from Palin supporters these days.

Maybe when you're older you will understand these matters. For now, you best just go back to your blog and play, until you're old enough to get it. Educating the quitter-bots we already have has been enough of a headache, we don't need any more.

A dwarf would dwarf McCain's accomplisments in the Senate.

Ah yes... Palin was a victim of a massive left wing conspiracy that forced her to courageously step down as Alaska's governor.

This is an outright lie. We all know why Governor Palin resigned, and it had nothing to do with scumbag leftists claiming that Trig wasn't her child.

So it's only fair (to her mind) that Obama be hounded by an equally loony right wing conspiracy -- the birthers.

If the disingenuous poster yes, I'm talking to you moron would read the rest of her Facebook note, she has never asked - not during the campaign or recently - that Obama produce his BC. All she's saying is if people have a right to question whether or not if Trig was hers (which she provided ironclad proof), then they have every right to question whether or not Zero is a natural-born U.S. citizen (which he has not produced anything except a forged COLB).

Quitter-bot is a new term to me but it seems like it would apply to the former governor of Alaska quite nicely. She and all her fans are definitely quitter-bots playing their victimhood violins.

Which she did before leftist operatives on orders from Obama/Soros strangled the state's business.

Considering the fact she is now one of the main targets of the liberal left she made a great decision as a leader and will have to stand by it. That decision was to be fair to the votes of Alaska and not pull them into whats to come as the progressives attack her full strength to try and silence the truth. Yes she made a good decision in my eyes. She remove herself from being a liability to the voters needs and is now free to address the false accusation, you know by the same type of reporter whom refuse to address major corruption issues like ACORN, Communist in the White House, Climate Change propaganda... Sorry you do not like her move but guess what you get to deal with it.

>>...equally loony right wing conspiracy — the birthers.<<

That line cracked me up. I don’t believe Sarah has spent millions hiding any information.

I could be wrong, of course.

LOLOL.... I knew it had to be either Paul,or Huckabee,or Romney,or Pawlenty, spurring this article on.
Bingo.
Good luck with your guy in '12...Sarah will kick his ass.
Funny-it's not so much the left that are attacking her any more as it is the RINO supporters.

I suppose you and the other 2 percent of the country will make a real splash with TPaw in the primaries.

As for McCain losing with dignity with TPaw, try losing by double digits. With the tiny crowds of 2000 or less McCain was drawing on his own and the tiny Biden size crowds - usually a few hundred - TPaw would have drawn, it would have been like the invisible campaign. You must be one of those guys who think that Custer lost with dignity at the Little Big Horn.

So if McCain would have won, wouldn’t he have quitted the job he was elected to as Senator of Arizona?

“How long before she’d have to resign as President? Or do you believe as President she could vanquish all the liberals once and for all?”

You are an idiot...she was being personally attacked and sued and immobilized by aholes like you and she did not have the resources to defend herself...she was PERSONALLY in debt up to her neck and couldn’t cope financially with the debt or the time consuming task of trying to deal with the liberal onslaught with no money...after her book tour and after hell freezes over and she is elected, the resources will be there...just how stupid are you? As for “vanquishinmg” you liberals, that won’t be necessary; you are doing a fine job of it yourselves...

You know, you are a moron, you know.

Maybe, you know, if bogus Leftist legal attacks, you know, were threatening to bankrupt you and your family, you know, you might step down from your job too, you know, rather then risk fiscal ruin, you know.

But then hyper stupid partisan bigots like you never bother to learn even a single fact about Palin that might challenge your emotion based ignorance and hyper bigotry now do you?

I don’t have a problem with Palin asking a simple question of Obama: Who are you really?

As President, he has enormous power, as he has readily shown he is willing to use, with his radical friends, to gut the economic power of this country, and to oppose the fight for freedom all over the globe.

He was born of a British father, and thus a British subject at birth. At best, he is a dual citizen. How does that square with the Constitutional requirement to be a natural born citizen, a citizen born of two citizens?

When did his name revert back to Obama from Soetoro?

When did he become a naturalized American citizen, having been, at one time or another, a British subject and a citizen of Indonesia?

Ever hear of an American President with a past scrubbed like his past is? School records,State of Illinois legislative records—all locked down tighter than Fort Know. Why? And who paid for his college years?

Why use tax dollars at the DOJ to fight cases about his origins, when he could solve the problem with a $ 12 piece of paper. Anyone with their finger on the red button better damn well not have any questions about who he is.

Zero can stop the questions anytime he wants to. Until then, or until the questions are answered, Sarah and others questioning him are most welcome in my book.
