On the Troll Problem

Posted on 01/17/2010 4:22:23 PM PST by reasonisfaith

This is a response to the plan by Obama and his advisors like Cass Sunstein to “cognitively infiltrate” groups they wrongfully designate as targets. So the leftists think they’re gonna pull off an Alinsky-style revolution, for the purpose of overthrowing the United States Constitution?

There are many here who will support and defend the United States Constitution, and who will reject the tactics of Saul Alinsky, Cloward-Piven, and all of communism. There are many here who take communist icons at their word, considering them as enemies of the United States. These enemies can be defeated.

Sinister characters, with neither the courage nor the ability to make themselves known publicly, use Obama to steal our liberty. Like puppeteer wannabees, they direct their puppet and the leftist-controlled House and Senate to institute the slavery of socialism.

Their mental-slave labor comes from unions such as SEIU. Healthcare, climate legislation, immigration and exploitation of natural disasters like the earthquake in Haiti are just some of the fronts they use to overthrow liberty.

We’re on the right side. From tea parties to Sarah Palin, to the Brown/Coakley race in Massachusetts, we are gaining a stronghold. Climategate and ongoing cold weather, along with algore photos, have been a source of comic relief. This forum has unlimited potential to advance our front line as we fight to defend liberty.

But we still have trolls to deal with, trolls who think they can infiltrate Free Republic as they try to overthrow our free republic.

Now here’s the whole point of this thread. If anyone is disheartened by the reality of not knowing whom to trust on this website, there is a solution.

Trust the principles first, and the rest will fall into place. Most Freepers are trustworthy.

The fruit born by leftist trolls on this website--their comments--will in some instances seem a bit out of place. It will be presented buried and hidden from view, amongst conservative-sounding rhetoric. Eventually they violate one or more conservative principle. The most common tactic seems to be the attempt to plant a seed of doubt.

"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

"Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" (Matthew 7:15-16)

Don’t become over-confident. The libs will use every dirty trick in the book to insure Scott loses.

HELP SCOTT DEFEAT THE OBAMA SOCK PUPPET!!

(stole this from another FReeper, but bears repeating)

•People in ANY state can volunteer for the phone bank! http://www.resistnet.com/forum/topics/phone-calls-for-freedom-call-1?commentId=2600775%3AComment%3A1891491&xg_source=activity

•Anyone… Anywhere… Contribute! https://www.icontribute.us/scottbrown

•Live in or near MA? Volunteers still needed at many regional offices. If you can help, please email Laura@brownforussenate.com and she will tell you how.

•If you live in Massachusetts, become an election judge. In Boston they pay $135-$185 and they NEED Republican monitors.

Needed; military and retired law enforcement VFW and police organizations etc to monitor polls- prevent the voter fraud they’re plotting right now. Video tape everything; document everything; prosecute the perpetrators. http://www.cityofboston.gov/news/default.aspx?id=3599

The point is not any increase or decrease in the problem.

If that were Sunstein’s agenda, he would be defeated by the actual leftist infiltrators whose existence turns irrational paranoia into reasonable vigilance.

DU type trolls are easy to spot, it’s the RINOs that are a little bit harder

Indeed. And the RINOs may very well do more damage. In fact, if I were a leftist infiltrator, I would take the RINO approach over the troll approach any day. The worst kind of RINOs are the constant naysayers. They seem to want to direct FreeRepublic into being some sort of meaningless chat room rather than an activists' website. They argue against every action that is proposed here because it's too much trouble, or it might make us look bad, or aren't there other things we should worry about first, or the people on TV said it was stupid so it must be, or...

I’m inclined to believe the SEIU people are truly supporting Brown.

One reason among many is the fact that leftists will often go down in a chaotic battle amongst themselves, because of the fact that their global agenda is nothing but a collection of the many smaller agendas of different special interest groups.

This dynamic sets up the inevitable outcome that the various groups will in time come into conflict with one another.

Well FRED, we know who has the deadly ammo on our Narcist. If he forces the Health Care vite, there will be a sramble to get rid of him before 2012, which is where the birther experts come in.

Polarik, Fred Nerks, LucyT, and a score of others could go to Washington, and tell them exactly what they need to do, and where to do it.

You betcha they are worried.Everyone may soon want rid of the idiot.

But your discomfort is quickly eased by the knowledge that conservatives are drawn to ideas rather than to people. Conservatives generally have the intellectual advantage over liberals in that they’re capable of grasping this concept either on a theoretical level or through common sense.

The conservative principles are almost universal among conservatives. Smaller, more insignificant disagreements can occur but if the discussion is properly filtered down to identify the relevant principles, conservatives are more likely to agree with one another even if they first thought themselves in conflict.

Fascinating.

With a single post you debut as a troll while simultaneously ending your troll career.

I think you’ve identified he best way to deal with them.

The only way to get the RINO label is to cross certain well defined lines. The title isn't handed out indiscriminately, they have to earn it!

Lacking standards, where do you think we would end up in just a short time?

Slopes ARE slippery!

Yes well, either they fear their cause is lost, or they have collected all the IP addresses and personal details they need for phase 2 IRS audits.

Your guess is as good as mine.I welcome either and am ready for both, like many of us who have remained here on FR and battled the fascist slobs.

And if a troll be reading this I can say "EFF YOU" come on and get me you fascist pig. I am ready willing and able, and full of publicity too!You will definitely have a large dose of sunshine into the dark little corners where the left likes to do its business beyond the usual light of democracy.

I too agree that with a subscription-based model, it would eliminate the DU/Kos-trolls.

Plus a subscription would kill much of the regular posters, and wall off free republic from recieving more trafic from people conservatives wish to influence.

Just like paywalls have done for newspaper sites.

I believe a minimum required score on a reading comprehension test would eliminate more readers than would a $1.00 annual membership fee.
