Thanks to Glenn for his documentary, which included info about the Ukrainian Famine/Genocide/Holodomor, but the Holodomor has two tragic attributes – it was a genocide that claimed more than all the battlefields of WWI and it was subject to a cover up that is unsurpassed, continuing today.
However this leftist site, Media Matters, tries to belittle the cover up aspect by claiming that the Holodomor is well known – having been “on the History Channel”!
However true to form, the History Channel link betrays not a hint of genocide – only that “unknown thousands died during collectivization” which is the ancient Duranty spin of bad weather and bad management and sporadic death due to malnutrition. And it is well known that a Holodomor documentary has never graced the screens of any ABC, NBC, or CBS production.
And the History Channel makes the false portrayal of Russia as the world’s savior during WWII – and betrays no hint that Russia started WWII by invading Poland with their friends, the Nazis.

Recently I asked my son if he still had the Encyclopedia Britannica, and he say yes his daughter has them now. I suggested it is important to hold on to them permanently. Because of the occurrence of revisionist history. Few will be the sources of truth.

Glenn Beck’s documentary should be viewed by every high school student in the country.
Actually, an even better documentary of just the Soviet atrocities and evil is “Th Soviet Story”. It does not cover Che or Mao, but was used extensively in Glenn’s segment on the Ukrainian Famine.

I watched Glenn’s show on Friday and that was absolutely fantastic. I was ignorant on the Ukraine Holdomor.
what we need is a 10 part mini series on the murder, desctruction and insanity of socialism...
all too often these programs are fleeting....we need a barrage of this stuff to shock people into the truth...

I wish Beck had made this a multi-episode series.
So that he would have time to go a bit more in depth.

Glenn’s documentary was excellent, especially the Holodrome, In History of the Soviet Union in college(note had to take a required course in either communist china or soviet union). this was only touched on briefly. in sociology of disability, the professor from Scotland covered the atrocities in Nazi Germany where the people with downs syndrome, severe mental illness were the first to experience guinea pig status. the jews were next than gypsys, slavs and pastors in churches that opposed Hitler’s agenda. the war ended and many were shocked to hear of the ethnic cleansing. There are eyewitness accounts about the atrocities which were discounted because it was part of the Modus operanda of Stalin and Hitler. There were Red Army soldiers whom witnessed some of the tradegies mass killings, mass graves in Poland when there was anoagression pact between Hitler and Stalin. If the soldier spoke up, the soldier disappeared for many years to the Gulag.
IIRC, in Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s ‘Gulag Archipelago”, he notes several times that many, many Red Army veterans were shipped off to the Gulag merely for having been to a Western country, which in this case, was Germany or Austria. Solzhenitsyn estimated to upwards of 20 million were slaughtered (starved, worked to death, etc.) in the gulags between 1945 and 1953.

reading that half hearted “statement” by the NYT about Walter Duranty and his Pulitzer Prize, makes me want to barf!!
