I remember that face.

I remember this event because I went back to the barracks to get people to gather their scrap books to go back to Honolulu to show him pictures of Mombassa so he could see where he was born.

Because many sources among his former schoolmates and friends from Hawaii and Indonesia have gone on record saying that Obama announced many times in his childhood years that he intended to become President.

If you follow the story, the 18-year-old man said this to the Marine, who then said he would not be eligible because the young man had already said he was born in Mombasa.

If true, it sounds like Barry's mother told him he could grow up to be president, and the spoiled/neglected child took it very seriously. It wouldn't be the first thing she was very, very wrong about.

Get off your soapbox. The person who tells this story has himself said he cannot prove it; but it stays on his mind because of the highly unusual coincidences of an 18-year-old mixed-race fellow in Hawaii making these statements to him.

Many of us here on FR know RaceBannon either online or personally, trust his patriotism and character, and understand the risk he is taking in telling this story.

So cool your jets, because you can't prove your assertions, either; and he's not claiming his are absolute truth -- just eerily coincidental.

In 1980, when Obama is supposedly in Hawaii, he was in school at Occidental College. Occidental is in Los Angeles which, if memory serves, is on the U.S. mainland. Occcidental has confirmed he was a student in 1979-1981 in a quote posted in Snopes, and says that documents have listed him as being there.

When I was in college far from home, I traveled home every few weeks. Is that so hard to imagine? O's grandmother was a bank official and could have afforded to send him a ticket. See if your stellar research unit can link up the dates of Occidental's school calendar for that year to see if he could have been on semester break, summer break, or a weekend.

His mother was American-born (has anyone disputed that?) therefore regardless of where he was born he is natural-born citizen.

Untrue. She would have had to have been over 18 and would have had to have resided in the mainland for 18 months at the time of the birth; additionally the father's citizenship claim as a British subject would nullify her claim since she was a minor.

The man I met was about 18, thin, Mulatto, told me he was born in Mombassa, raised in Indonesia, was living in Hawaii and hadn’t yet been to many places in the world outside of those places, mostly, hadn’t been to the mainland of America for any long time period if at all. And he openly told me he wanted to be President.

The birth announcements were all of two lines. All they provided was the name, address and date of O's birth. Any proud grandparent could announce the engagement, wedding or birth of an out-of-state or out-of-country grandchild in their local paper.

Why then was his SSS registration form signed on July 30, 1980, in Honolulu (although the postal stamp from Honolulu has the date as July 29)? Would it be wild and unusual that he went home for the summer? Of course you could claim, as is supposed, that the SSS form 1 was a fake generated by somebody at the Selective Service in Chicago to cover for him, since he never registered. And why should he, since foreigners were not required to register for the draft?
