The year was 2004 and the campaign season was in full swing. In October, a Freeper who goes by the handle of MD4Bush began making posts on Free Republic urging Republicans to "play dirty" in the 2004 election.
Scandal ensued as it was discovered that MD4Bush was actually a Democrat operative and assistant to Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley. But this story isnt about Ryan O'Doherty, MD4Bushs Clark Kent. If you want to read that story, click here.
Instead, our journey takes us to the Washington Post reporter who just happened to stumble upon the MD4Bush posts and protected the identity of ODoherty. That reporter was Matthew Mosk.
Flash forward to 2008. Mosk once again seems to be using his journalist position to attempt to influence elections. In this case, writing false stories about John McCain.
Today, Matthew Mosk is at the ABC continuing to play journalist while instead using his position to smear Conservatives.
While Matthew Mosk has not been officially revealed as a member of the Journolist 400, his actions and history suggest at least the propensity towards journalistic activism, not just passive bias. Mosk has also been associated with many of those who have been revealed as Journolist 400 members such as David Weigel who was at the Washington Post the same time as Mosk. Most importantly to the Matthew Mosk connection, Ezra Klein of the Washington Post was one of the original Journolist members and worked in the same office with Matthew Mosk.
The tentacles reached back to the Washington Post and it seems, some of that hydra monster even impacted Free Republic.
Now is the time for Freepers to do what they do best, research. Was Matthew Mosk one of the Journolist 400? Was the MD4Bush one of the first attacks by Journolist members?
Bump for morning researchers

Nice find.
If only the MSM devoted 10% of the time searching Obama’s background as they do anonymous FReepers, this country would be far better off.
I’m skeptical of Obama’s contrived story, not of birthers. :D
Never heard of anything more stupid than Journolist!

Here's link to the current thread on JournoList members and their news organizations.
Ezra Klein gave Carlson access to the entire archives, so it's not just a rumor.
Follow the bouncing Mosk.. lol
Scratching your head? Here is the background:
