Reactions of the Koran burning Pastor Terry Jones!
Dittos Rush! ^ | 9-9-10 | James

Posted on 09/09/2010 10:11:05 AM PDT by iloveamerica1980

Here are just a few:

"The Holy Koran is sacred, just like the Bible is to Christians," Dr. Mohamed Elsanousi, director of community outreach for the Islamic Society of North America, said in an interview. "Desecration of this book is something people will not tolerate."

"Hardball" host Chris Matthews, who called Jones' plans to burn the Islamic holy book "a terrible idea" and warned that it "could cause trouble and even death" when televised in Muslim countries, asked, "What do you think the reaction will be as this goes on international television? What will be the consequence?"

"It's obviously intolerant they're doing it precisely to offend those practicing Muslims," said John Erdevig of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The most chilling reaction is in this video report from AsianCoorespondent.com at 0:51 mark: "If this happens, the first reaction that will follow is that wherver Americans are seen, on matter where they are in the world.....they will be killed!"

Anyone who is put off by a group of private citizens engaging in the burning of privately owned books on private property needs to GROW UP and accept that some people choose to engage in these activities. If anyone reacts violently or otherwise breaks the law in response that person should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. After all, if someone was going to burn Bibles, piss on crucifixes, or engage in any manner of anti-Christian activity and we reacted violenty, no less would be expected, right?

Sheesh. Isn't this what we're told about the 9/11 victory mosque?

Maybe we should start burning & killing when muzzies burn a church or a bible. FORCE them to learn tolerance.

What does Saudi Arabia do with the bibles and other non-muslim religious texts that they seize? Do they burn them or give them to orphanages abroad?

I really want to know.

I have posted this opinion twice, on other threads. Please forgive me if it offends you, but I am going to post it one last time..........

Last night I submitted a reply to a thread about the Rev. and his Koran burning. I stated that while I was not FOR it, that if he was hellbent on doing it, he should do it in such a way as to UNMISTAKABLY link it to muslim terrorism.

He should burn THOUSANDS of them. And as each one is tossed into the bonfire, the name of a 911 victim should be blared over a PA system. Then toss in some more, blaring the names of the victims on Flight 93, and at the Pentagon. Then some more while blaring the names of the American sailors killed in the attack in Yemen, and the name of Daniel Pearl, and as many more as we can name.

I would also announce that every Sept. 11th henceforth I will burn a copy of the RELIGION OF PEACE’s holy book for each and every person killed by muslim terrorists in the preceding 12 months. If they revere their book, let them stop their killing!

To tell the truth, I felt a little sheepish when I posted that reply; but after reading THIS thread, and thinking about the victory mosque to be built at GZ, etc., I think it would be a fine idea. These are slavering, frothing at the mouth animals we are dealing with, and it will take unrelenting push-back, in many forms to stop it, if at all.

Looks like I've found my answer. Unfortunately this article is down (can't find the site).

Luckily the text of the article is still on FR (which is part of the reason that blog pimping is frowned upon beside the "website" hits pimps are shopping for).

Saudi Arabia Desecrates Hundreds of Bibles Annually (Saudi Institute Friday, 20 May 2005 by Zachary Liben)

Posted on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 10:07:42 AM by paltz

Washington DC - The Saudi government burns and desecrates hundreds of bibles its security forces confiscate after raids on Christian expatriates worshiping privately or at border crossings.

As a matter of official policy, the government either incinerates or dumps bibles, crosses and other Christian paraphernalia.

Hundreds of Christian worshipers are arrested every year by Saudi police in raids on their private gatherings. Bibles, crosses and printed materials are confiscated and later burnt or dumped into trash. Bibles and other Christian paraphernalia found with travelers into the country are confiscated and destroyed.

Although considered as holy in Islam and mentioned in the Koran dozens of times, the Bible is banned in Saudi Arabia, and is confiscated and destroyed by government officials.

Exactly.

How is it appropriate to be tolerant of intolerance? Burning copies of the Koran is no different than burning copies of Mein Kampf or Mao's Little Red Book. The motivation and symbolism are precise and identical.

If this is not acceptable then war is the only acceptable response.

Why don't we hear any outcries against this:

Muslims Burn down Christian-Owned Churches, shops

You can find aricles like this everywhere yet I don't even hear about it on the news. Because it doesn't advance their agenda.

"What do you think the reaction will be as this goes on international television? What will be the consequence?"
If you burn a Koran and there are no news crews to film it does anybody see it on international television?

On the other hand the nice thing about it being televised is we all get to see how committed "moderate Muslims" are in their threats to commit violence at the event.
We are all told day after day that there are no Muslim extremists living in the US so they couldn't do anything there and any attacks would be from moderates...right?

Nothing sacred about that nasty filthy book.

Anyone getting as sick and tired of seeing this as I am:

""""COMMUNITY outreach, COMMUNITY Center, COMMUNITY service, and the big one COMMUNITY ORGANIZER.******

Just too much "COMMUNITY SOMETHING OR OTHER" going in, and all in relation to Islam or the OBAMAS Acorn group.

All those words just gives warm fuzzies, doesn't it? lol Watch for it in every article you see about the MUSLIMES religion of hate and Obama.

Personally, I’m beginning to think this attention has been good in fostering a conversation about all the hypocrisy.
