Reactions of the Koran burning Pastor Terry Jones!
Dittos Rush! ^ | 9-9-10 | James

Posted on 09/09/2010 10:11:05 AM PDT by iloveamerica1980

Here are just a few:

"The Holy Koran is sacred, just like the Bible is to Christians," Dr. Mohamed Elsanousi, director of community outreach for the Islamic Society of North America, said in an interview. "Desecration of this book is something people will not tolerate."

"Hardball" host Chris Matthews, who called Jones' plans to burn the Islamic holy book "a terrible idea" and warned that it "could cause trouble and even death" when televised in Muslim countries, asked, "What do you think the reaction will be as this goes on international television? What will be the consequence?"

"It's obviously intolerant they're doing it precisely to offend those practicing Muslims," said John Erdevig of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The most chilling reaction is in this video report from AsianCoorespondent.com at 0:51 mark: "If this happens, the first reaction that will follow is that wherver Americans are seen, on matter where they are in the world.....they will be killed!"

Oh now I get it.

Good. A bit slow but still within acceptable limits.

good to know.

You missed a capital letter there.

Here's a question for you to ponder:

How do you feel about blogpimps using FR as a free business platform
in order to cause folks to "pay" them a blog hit for the privilege
of viewing a video the blogpimp had nothing to do with?

Answer that one honestly and rethink your position.

If this is the spark that gets this finally going, let’s do it. I personally won’t burn the koran, but I will fight for his right to do it.

Burn the damn piece of **** pornography.

If they don't like it, they can get all upset and murderous, as if that would be any different from the way they are now.

Obama’s chorus is out in full force I see. Suck up that ten minutes of hate, people!

What’s the constitution - a mere piece of paper - mean in the face of jihadist death threats. Our founders always warned us that they day might come when we would have to peacefully become slaves in order that the elite might have global rule and tolerance for beheading rulers.

No material item is “sacred” to Christians. They can burn all the books they want in retaliation.

For Islam, however, all their authority rests upon adherence to their demand for submission to the rules. Westerners burning the Korans, drawing pictures of Mohammad, and just generally disobeying their orders and rules of control, will weaken their religous authority. They only have control if we obey and that is the central weakness of Islam’s system of government. In truth, they don’t have the power to control the whole world unless the elite of every country gives them that legal power.

A lot of uppityness in Islam’s face from the Western people is in order if we want to upset the apple cart of Islam’s grip on a billion people. This is way the Indians sank all powerful imperalistic Britian...and the way Martin Luther King upset the unconstitutional racial order in the US. Freedom is worth pantsing Islam.

I've seen Bibles that have been under water, in garbage dumps, and even been burnt. However, Christians don't worship the "book", they believe in and try to live by the words contained in the book.

The Christian God does not require us to wash our feet, and kneel on prayer mats several times a day while chanting in unknown tongues, to be saved.

It is sad to see a Bible desecrated in any manner, but we don't chop off heads because of it or declare jihads against other races and religions.

Christians don't see cults that practice public stoning, honor killings, and beheadings as a religion, per se. This sort of behavior was acceptable in the 10th century - to some - but it has been carried on as a means of total control of people by a fanatical cult.

There was no outcry from anywhere when they put a crucifix in a jar of urine, or banned crosses and the Ten Commandments from public places. That is because Christianity is a personal religion; you can have a relationship with God without the approval or concern of any other human beings. Islam is about tyranical power of certain individuals over their people, with the conquering of the world as their ultimate goal.

Why would any human join a sect or cult that threatens beheading for stoning for the least infraction, or human fraility? Why?

These people are from another planet; they won't eat pork because it's "unclean", yet they wipe their butts with their bare hand.

Their goal is for us to adopt their "religion", or die.

They're pushing at the gate, but I think they will find that the Americans are not going to be the pushovers they imagine; sure, they're some pansies in our leadership, but there is a lot of ground to cover between them and us.

If someone is out to kill me dead, do you think I really give a damn if they get upset over a book burning?

No material item is “sacred” to Christians.

I’m not sure that all branches of Christianity would agree with that. I’ve seen objects in reliquaries that many considered sacred. Generally, though, you are right about printed books.

As you said, it’s more about control than about sacredness. Nobody expects a turn-the-cheek Christian to go postal over a crucifix in urine. otoh, nobody would put a crucifix in urine if they thought so.

I like your analysis.

I used to think that this was just silly publicity stunt but after watching the reaction of the journalistic elites and of muslims around the world I’ve come to believe that it is in fact a necessary action.

The elites need to be humbled and shown that they don’t control the agenda anymore and muslims need to learn that all they accomplish by their violence and threats of violence is to provoke us.

As of now, my only objection to the event is the number of korans to be burned. It should be 2,792. One for every person murdered on September 11.

Yes I know, so far we have not heard a lot our of them. Yet, it is always the SILENT ONES, you have to watch out for, they are the most dangerous.

Right after the Murrah Building bombing, after they caught McVeigh, they also caught a middle eastern man who was suspect. They let him go, and lady news reporter was livid over this as she believed he was involved.

I belive it is very possible that McVeigh had the help of the muslims in OK, in that bombing. JMO

What would we do without your congratulatory posts to freepers you approve?!

Probably run around in circles with our hands flapping in the air shouting, "Oh noes!" and bumping into each other.

It’s a bunch a pieces of paper. It gets burned and thanks to Gutenberg, we print more.

More are printed on just plain ole’ paper, no holy man prayed over them and made them sacrosanct.

Light em’ if you got em’.

It’s good for the economy.

Oh, and to you muzzies... Get a life. A book is all you have?

Burning a book is all it takes to set you off?

My cat has diarrhea and I want to Jihad!

No, I don’t have a cat but, any excuse will do right?

Grow a real pair of balls. If your faith is so weak that burning a few pages out of symbol is all it takes to issue a fatwah then your faith really isn’t that strong.

Either that or your faith is as synthetic as your allah.

Wow.

After all these centuries of warring, bloodthirsty, hate-filled, predatorial Islam ... who would have ever guessed that their greatest weapon to conquer the world would end up being the sympathy and political correctness of their enemy.
