Boehner to the rich: don’t blame me. If you like your money, stop funding the Democrats!

Here comes the Boehner’s genius: rich democrats talk class warfare only because they believe the Republicans are there to protect their success. If the Republicans give up and let the radical left President run wild without a check – all those rich democrats will have to walk the walk to IRS, not only talk the talk.

House Republicans Leader (and soon to be Speaker) John Boehner called President Obama’s bluff and stated he will vote for extending only part of the Bush tax-cuts if the Democrats have no will to give tax-cuts for the wealthy.

That sent shock-waves through the ranks of the rich elite that give their contributions to Democrats, but hope that the Republicans will watch for their wallets and protect them from tax-hikes.

The Hollywood crowd earning over 250K suddenly realized their favorite president of all time will cost them dearly next year when their personal income tax starts hiking the up-hill.

Liberal celebrities and philanthropists that readily did class warfare propaganda for the Democrats were suddenly terrified when they realized Obama actually hates the rich – not just talking about it.

Wealthy democratic campaign contributors realized they subsidized the very beast that is after their wealth and success... The only way for democrats to extend the Bush tax-cuts for all Americans is to help those rich funding the Democratic party understand that if they keep funding socialists their wealth will be socialized in the IRS accounts.

John Boehner often says: Elections have consequences. If the business community keeps funding the anti-business political party, they shouldn’t be surprised that we get anti-business President, who is enforcing anti-business policies.

It is time for the wealthy to get tax-punished by President Obama and his radical friends, so they never ever give a dime to the Democratic Party ever again.

True, but wouldn’t you enjoy to see Obama tax-hiking Chris Mathews - I wonder if this will send tingles up his leg. LOL

> “If the republicans vote what Obama wants - all the rich democratic campaign contributors will go nuts.”

No, they won’t, because Obama’s tax increase will only hit the upper middle class, not the rich.

The rich would be hit if it were a tax on accumulated wealth, which it is not.

Don't forget the point that Rush has made over and over again. The taxes keep upward mobility down. If you are already rich, the taxes keep others from getting rich only.

And Rush is right as usual.

There was an interesting thread a couple of days ago about a survey that indicated that people would rather have more money than their peers, even if it is less money than they have now, than have more money than they have now if it means their peers have more money than them.

Its human nature, wealth is more about having one up on your neighbor than satisfying material desires. There was an episode of the Jeffersons with the same theme with George Jefferson saying "What good is being wealthy if everyone else is also wealthy?"

Boehner is an idiot!

The proposed tax increases won’t touch any “Rich” because it is a tax on earnings, not wealth. It’ll kill the upper middle class that create all the jobs.

You are talking about uber-rich - there are many who work for them who will be tax-hiked. They will end up with unhappy staffers :)

I think by the time the Congress will be ready to vote - the lobbyists will find enough democrats to support Boehner and the Republicans for continuing all the Bush tax-cuts.
This is all who will be the chicken game.

Is “The Jeffersons” real life?

No, it is propaganda created by Marxist Socialist Atheist Norman Lear.

This is what the MSM want believed, since it will facilitate taxing the people to serfdom.

Consider Theresa Heinz Kerry- almost all of her money is in tax-free muni bonds or in overseas tax shelters. So if you tripled her USA taxes, she’d pay $180,000 per year instead of $60,000.

This would mean new sails on “the little yacht” every four years instead of three, a devastating inconvenience.

Tax-hiking the MSNBC is a good lesson for them.
We need real tax-reform anyway. We need the whole tax-code disposed and a new fair tax, or a low flat tax imposed.

Yes, Boehner seems to be winning the argument.

Boehner may pleasantly surprise us just yet.... when he becomes speaker!

Who do you think these “lobbyists” might be?

Their source of funds is chicken feed in comparison to Soros, Buffett, and Gates, all of whom have demanded tax increases on earners (which they are not).

Republican should run on a dramatic tax-reform. The debate about the Bush tax-cuts will be irrelevant in a year if the Republicans are serious about tax-reform.

Seeing it put that way, it seems Bohener knew what he was doing...although I thought that in the first place.

Those are the lobbyists who are afraid of real tax-reform.
The whole system of tax-cuts, tax-deductions, earned income credit, picking winners and losers in the thousands of pages of the tax-code should be disposed.
10-page tax-code should be implemented - everybody pays 10%-12% or something like that.

If the Republican don’t have the guts to make a real tax-reform with this wave of enthusiasm in the country - they will never do it.

Cmon editor, you know dang well that this is true, people love the envy of others more than actual wealth, nearly all of advertising is based on this concept, and it has worked well for decades. Its not a communist plot, its simply part of the sinful nature of man.

I am proved correct already. The democrats in the House are drafting a letter to extend all the Bush cuts.
Unhappy major donors?

Unless we throw out the current power structure in the party, they will never do it.

What you’re ignoring is the vast benefits of “going along to get along” in both houses of congress. Even congressmen that get tossed out of office are taken care of if they went with the flow, and that is worth from 250 million and up.

Boehner is looking “up.”
