Sarah Palin says it's time to stick up for the 'little guy (Palin coins new phrase: Cocktail Party)

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate, told thousands of supporters Saturday enough is enough. It's time to stick up for the "little guy."

Foreclosures are high, stimulus packages are doing nothing to help the nation bounce back and the budget deficit keeps climbing, Palin said. Americans are out of work, and those with jobs are in fear of losing them, she said.

"Little guys across America ... and momma Grizzlies are growling," said Palin, a leader of the Tea Party political movement, wearing the signature red power suit and rimless glasses. "We're going to protect our cubs."

"There comes a moment in time, a moment we feel today ... when we have to say enough is enough. And Bakersfield, enough is enough. You can take it back."

In a nearly nonstop cheerleading speech where she continued rousing the crowd amid cheers, Palin slammed President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others for "Obama Care" and demanded "restoration." She called for firings starting Nov. 2, Election Day.

"Are we better off now than we were when Barack Obama took office?" she asked the crowd, which responded with a loud, 'No!.....

......She talked about the "little man" who only wants a good job in his home town, but instead sees a country spending without asking, a bleak economic future, and borders that need protection.

Regarding local issues, Palin said California is rich with farm land, but a tiny fish is considered more important than thousands of Californians being fed, referring to the splittail fish at the center of Central Valley water controversy.

"I'm Alaskan, and I like my wildlife," she said. "But people are losing their farms, crops and livelihoods."

She asked why the "cocktail party" considers the Tea Party movement extreme.

"For believing in American exceptionalism?" Palin asked.

“Hillbuzz is the one that came up with that...that is what they have been calling them for a long time.”

Yup. But Palin elevates it into Prime Time...;)

Wow, she needs to get the Trade Mark Register on this, Monday morning it will be the TALK of the TOWN and energize polls nationwide. Cool. The Cocktail Party has been TOO long in Washington DC

Palin didn't start this. Others have. I have heard Rush use it and then there is this...

On my site HillBuzz, I've been calling these establishment pooh-bahs "The Cocktail Party" for a few weeks now because this is the definitive natural habitat of these clowns. I thought of the term after attending too many Republican events and seeing few people in attendance at all interested in leaving the private clubs and DOING SOMETHING, instead of having awards ceremonies and fan club meetings celebrating one another's awesomeness.

She is going straight for the reagan voter....

And Reagan voters are lining right up in her column. Those who understood Reagan's message have seen and heard this before, and are thrilled that it's finally back.

Correct, and that is what Hillbuzz was hoping for.

They have been trying to get people to do graphics to go along with the concept.

The year 2012, Palin concluded, will be one to “renew our pioneering spirit.”

“We will win this year,” Palin said. “Our best days are yet to come.”

My god do you need any more hint. The whole article was very good. Sarah’s right “enough is enough”.

Agreed. AND, she will win.

She is running. As I predicted, she is not going to let her country down.

Yeap I'm one of those. Enough of the Bush Rino wing of the GOP. Palin is the only one that has governed as a Reaganite. She is the only one talking about Reagan, quoting Reagan, pushing Reagan policy to get us out of this mess. I pray she runs. I think the nomination is hers if she wants it. The American people are hungry for a real leader

No,the genius would be former Hillary supporters who are trying to get the Republicans to learn how to fight in this election so that the country can be saved...and perhaps Rush Limbaugh who has also used the phrase.

Sarah did not come up with the concept.

No homosexuals in influential positions, please.

Not unless they, in writing, disavow all homosexual agenda goals, beliefs, positions and etc.

at this stage the enemy of my enemy is my friend. anyone that wants to stop Obama cold in his tracks is welcome as far as I’m concerned....Hell most leaders of the RINO wing of the GOP seem to be made up of closet homosexuals.

Cocktail Party certainly fits the DC beltway crowd.

DRUNK with power. First they rob, then they spend.

And that is exactly why “no homosexuals in influential positions” is necessary. Look at Mehlman or whatever is name is. The “gay” agenda is all leftist destructive crap. GOProud is a militant homosexual organization. No homosexuals in positions of power unless they are so closeted no one knows and they hate the “gay” agenda as much as any other conservative.

In this fight, the enemy of my enemy is not my friend. Nope.
