Sarah Palin says it's time to stick up for the 'little guy (Palin coins new phrase: Cocktail Party)

Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and potential 2012 Republican presidential candidate, told thousands of supporters Saturday enough is enough. It's time to stick up for the "little guy."

Foreclosures are high, stimulus packages are doing nothing to help the nation bounce back and the budget deficit keeps climbing, Palin said. Americans are out of work, and those with jobs are in fear of losing them, she said.

"Little guys across America ... and momma Grizzlies are growling," said Palin, a leader of the Tea Party political movement, wearing the signature red power suit and rimless glasses. "We're going to protect our cubs."

"There comes a moment in time, a moment we feel today ... when we have to say enough is enough. And Bakersfield, enough is enough. You can take it back."

In a nearly nonstop cheerleading speech where she continued rousing the crowd amid cheers, Palin slammed President Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and others for "Obama Care" and demanded "restoration." She called for firings starting Nov. 2, Election Day.

"Are we better off now than we were when Barack Obama took office?" she asked the crowd, which responded with a loud, 'No!.....

......She talked about the "little man" who only wants a good job in his home town, but instead sees a country spending without asking, a bleak economic future, and borders that need protection.

Regarding local issues, Palin said California is rich with farm land, but a tiny fish is considered more important than thousands of Californians being fed, referring to the splittail fish at the center of Central Valley water controversy.

"I'm Alaskan, and I like my wildlife," she said. "But people are losing their farms, crops and livelihoods."

She asked why the "cocktail party" considers the Tea Party movement extreme.

"For believing in American exceptionalism?" Palin asked.

I wonder if people realize but Sarah is stealing the Rats talking points and appling them to the conservative message.

Oh yeah - she's very good at that. Notice that she turned around Barry's "hand to hand combat" phrase on him. And, she's one of the few biggies on our side who directs her public comments directly to Zero's gut.

Sarah is fearless, and refuses to abide by the old establishment Republican rules of decorum with Commie rats. Even Reagan was a lot more deferential to them than she is. She just lets 'em have it, and if their heads explode - oh well. That's sort of what libs do, you know?

Gotta love her for calling them on their BS like she does.

If homosexuals minded their own business no one would know or care. But, since the homosexual agenda is all about destroying the family, childrens’ innocence, the military, freedom of speech, freedom of association, and freedom of religion, they’ve made it my business and the business of every conseravtive who cares about these.

They’ve forced their bleeping business onto everyone else.

How about they keep their crap in the closet where it belongs.

Nobody gives a crap about homosexuals, but they won’t shut up about it and want all kinds of preferences and lawsuits.

They are a power group like all the rest of the P.C. power crowd.

Not only that, but it brings to mind all Hussein's little cocktail parties in the WH!

Sure does. While Americans were sweating over whether they'd keep their jobs and be able to provide for their families, this elitist fop has been partying, golfing, and vacationing like no other president in our history.

He's the very personification of a snuff-dipping, pampered, arrogant prince, who has no idea or thought about the ill effects he's creating on millions of ordinary citizens.

I'm sure that even now, Sarah's holding back on how she really feels about him. What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall in her private conversations about him. I'll bet she sounds a LOT like we Freepers do.

“death panel”
“cocktail party”

Palin’s two words have more impact than Obama’s big-words speeches.

Obama can't do what Palin does, because he's not authentic. Every word he utters is either written by others, or is filtered through his left-wing mental machinery. None of it is from the heart, because there's no heart there. Nothing but a blackened cinder of hate and envy.

Sarah is the polar opposite of Obama, so it's easy for her. She speaks from love, truth, and conviction, which flows as easily from her, as water in a bubbling brook. Simple words and phrases from her cut like a knife through all of his calculated and hateful rhetoric.

What's important about the stark contrasts between their characters, is that people innately sense this. Even those on the left, which in their case, enrages them (see my tagline).

More likely she picked it up directly from Kevin Dujan, Hillbuzz's founder who joined Conservatives 4 Palin last month as a contributing writer.

They may have got it from someone else, but I think that the Boyz at hillbuzz were 1 of the first to use ‘cocktail party’. I can’t find it now, but I remember reading an article there that indicated that they were giving it to Palin to use (they’re HUGH Palin for Pres supporters). 1 of their articles from 9/16 is below.

The Cocktail Party vs. The Tea Party: ideas for a series
Posted by hillbuzz under Uncategorized
[93] Comments
We think we have an effective tool to use against the GOP establishment in calling it “The Cocktail Party”.

One way for us to illustrate all that’s corrosive, septic, and moribund about the GOP establishment and Romney Republicans is to contrast them directly with the Tea Party itself.

Hence, Cocktail Party vs. Tea Party as a running series here on HillBuzz.

So, help us think of good contrasts to run. Here’s a general idea..and just imagine the graphics we can create with all the material that is out there:

* The Cocktail Party is interested only in its own self-promotion…while the Tea Party is impassioned to save America, defend the Constitution, and promote patriotism.

* The Cocktail Party is comprised of blue-blazer-wearing, soggy cucumber-and-mayonnaise-sandwich eating Romney Republican country club bluebloods…while the Tea Party is made up of regular Americans, from all walks of life, who have had all they are going to take from the out of touch establishment.

* The Cocktail Party believes in the go-along-to-get-along approach to Washington and votes with Democrats whenever it wants to curry favor with the state media…while the Tea Party stares the media down, doesn’t shy away from the media’s insults, and demands the American public hold the media accountable for its bias.

As we’ve said for some time, the GOP establishment in this country is almost as dangerous to America as the Left itself. It’s time Americans took a hard look at WHY the Left was allowed to do all that it’s been doing…and turn an investigative eye towards the entrenched Republicans who’ve been in office, but have not been fighting the Left with everything they’ve got…they way they should have been…they way they WOULD have been if they really stood for something and cared more about the people who sent them to office than the applause and accolades the media heaps on their beloved pet RINOS.

Here’s a post from them today:

Palin 2012 emerging campaign message: Revive, Renew, Restore
I’ve said before that Governor Palin might just be the sharpest politician of our time…and her sense of branding is astonishingly pitch-perfect.

She’s now advancing an emerging 2012 campaign message: “Revive, Renew, Restore”.

What I think is most genius about this is the “R-branding” she’s doing very subtly…”R”, like “Republican”.

R-estore

R-enew

R-evive

(R), baby.

I also love that she’s picked up the “Cocktail Party” meme that we started here on HillBuzz and also calls them the go-along-to-get-along establishment gang, like she did in her speech the other night at the Bakersfield Business Conference:

She also took a few digs at the “cocktail party” — what she called the “go-along-to-get-along” “establishment” wing of the Republican party, saying “those defeated liberal Republicans, what did they do? Now they’re the ones running as a third-party candidate — and they’re redefining, I guess, the term ‘bitter clinger.’ “

The “Cocktail Party” meme is one that will destroy any chances Mittens Romney has remaining of being the “it’s his turn” establishment candidate in 2012. ”It’s his turn”, as dictated by the Cocktail Party, is just not going to cut the soggy cucumber-and-mayonnaise sandwiches anymore.

One of the reasons I believe in, and support, Governor Palin so much is that in her — AT LAST — I see a chance not only to smack the Left down hard but to take down the Cocktail Party GOP establishment that’s been the root of so many problems for all these years.

It is not going to be easy though. These guys are more entrenched than you would ever believe.

They love money. They adore wearing fancy suits. They savor every last cocktail party.

They’ve monopolized power for generations and are the sons of entitled fathers and grandfathers who have been passing these choice seats at the table down via Y-chromosomes to their heirs since anyone can remember.

Governor Palin, and Mamma Grizzlies everywhere, are a major threat to this primogeniture Cocktail Party racquet.

None of these people want to work hard and get real jobs after they lose their perks and privileges.

That’s why they hate the Tea Party so much…the Tea Party is the end of the Cocktail Party…which is the end of life as they know it for all these guys.

To that, I say: Run, Sarah, Run!

Revive! Renew! Restore!

I understand the "phrase" game before an election. But Palin's choice of words here, is only further showing her mindset to be from a self-absored line of thinking. Dems such as Kerry, Edwards, Gore and Obama use phrases such as "fighting for you little guys" (because they seriously see themselves as superheros to us dimwitted masses). But I do not recall Reagan or GWB using such phrases. They spoke to the notion of getting out of the way and allowing you to 'fight' for yourself.

Or course that loser Huckabee, went with the "fighting for the small guy" during 08 and in the end only helped the DEM cause, IMO. Best regards.

Palin didn't coin it. however to the best of my knowledge she is the first to use it on the stump is she not?

Doesn't Matter ... it's "hers" now in MY mind.
