Barney Frank and Chris Dodd created the bomb, Cuomo lit the fuse.
Barney Frank and Chriss Dodd made the laws that allowed FANNIE and FREDDIE to guarantee bad loans, but Andrew Cuomo SUED the first bank for 'discrimination' for what was at the time the largest award in history $2.1 billion dollars.
This sent a message to all other banks.
1) Fannie and Freddie will guarantee bad loans 2) If you dont make those bad loans, we will sue you too
Both parts were necessary to set off that explosion, and this is why your 401K is worthless now.

Too many psychotic Democrats in New York prevent it from being pulled up from the black hole of deep purple.
If they could, they would round up all the non-Democrats and put them into re-education camps instead of abusing them with their usual air of superiority.

There could be a change in 2012 but Obama and the democratic congress has not done enough harm yet for the majority of New York metro voters. The only hope is for the democrats to stay home on election day. I guess its possible but not probable.
The demonetization of Angry Carl by the press has enraged a ton of voters I know. This may just be a surprise.
Gov is not the sole source for the housing crisis and bank meltdown. Banks played a critical role especially in the prime mortgages which were riddled with liar loans and lack of documentation when resold. This is the spin banks are selling to make the gov the only target for the public anger when they too played a critical role. If the US gov policies were so coercive then why JP Morgan has the best mortgage backed securities portfolio (little or no liar loans plus excellent line of documentation) while Countrywide Mortgage and Washington Mutual portfolios did not??? Never heard HUD suing JP Morgan. It never happened because this suing threat is a bank myth invented to cover up their misdeeds.
The real answer is simple, the gov did the wrong thing, JP Morgan knew that and did the right thing, while Countrywide and Washington Mutual did not care and just tried to take advantage of the gov misstep to make money. Unfortunately most of the Wall Street banks went the Countrywide path. Right now the MSM is hung up about mortgage securities or foreclosures without updated notes and title documentation. For the foreclosed homeowners, the matter will eventually be resolved as the latest bank owner of the mortgage pays lawyers to retrace the location of the documents and pay the local gov who records the mortgage record the fees (this is what the servicer of the MERS failed to do) and once the documentation is caught up, the foreclosures will move foward. Problem for the banks is the mortgage securities they sold to the investors in the past. The prospectus states the mortgages in the portfolios are properly documented. Claiming that on the prospectus when it is blatantly not true is SEC fraud. The banks are facing huge law suits from pension funds, government funds and other major investors who brought the MBS’s. Question will be for the US gov if all the major banks face collapse due to the losses from these lawsuits will the US taxpayers be asked to bail them out or the US Treasury armed with new unilateral authority to bailout banks (thanks to the Obama financial reform regs passed by a stupid Dem Congress) bailout these banks (I think they will to public ire).

Andrew Cuomo ruined the WORLD economy. He brought on the global financial meltdown. What better person to oversee the bankruptcy of New York State.
You are not seeing what I am seeing. There are ornage and black Paladino signs everywhere - outnumbering Cuomo signs by AT LEAST 500 to one.
And an increasing mumber appearing downstate too!
Cuomo does not have the hard core suppport- whereas Paladino supporters will crawl to the polls if they have to. People that know him best (western New York) voted him 93% over lazio in the primaries
And “the polls” were off by 25%
They said he was tied with lazio, the next day he beat lazio 62-37

New York was stupid to elect Hillary. They are lost to the world until they wake up.
