Huckabee vs. Sarah P Over Michelle Obama's Unjust Desserts

Mike Huckabee gets on Sarah Palin's case for mocking Michelle Obama's crusade to involve the federal government to fight childhood obesity

(said Huckabee) “Michelle Obama's not trying to tell people what to eat or not trying to force the government's desires on people,” Huckabee said. “She’s stating the obvious, that we do have an obesity problem in this country.”

See the entire article at Politico

Yeah, this is why anyone with the name Huckabee shouldn't be elected president.

Remember when "Just Say No" had the force of law behind it? The Obama family is not merely "stating" anything. They are "telling" people what to do about it. I would say that Huckabee would be smart enough to know the difference, but his name is Huckabee.

How is the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act NOT an imposition of "the government's desires on people?" It's now law! I think the flashy lights of his Fox News studio are making Mikey a little blind to what is really obvious.

I know this is an issue near and dear to his heart, but if personal baggage were made good law then toilet seats would be narrower than the human head, 10 year-old bed-wetters will be eligible for a presidential medal of honor, and stolen milk money will be made taxable income when I'm in charge of this joint.

How about this? If anyone can tell me which federal law did Huckabee used to guide him in dropping his 100 pounds I'll back off the issue, and because I'm a nice guy I wont make beeping sounds while I do it.

All Palin is doing is playing a little gander to Michelle's goose by employing Obama's BFF Saul Alinsky's fifth rule:

"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."

This kind of nonsense needs to be ridiculed until election day, when it can be defeated.

Ridicule, eh? Such as the level of RIDICULE the left and their tools have heaped upon Sarah Palin?

During the years I spent working in political Washington, I met a fair number of people like Huck.

It’s nearly impossible for them to believe that people don’t love them as much as they think they should be loved.

The longer it goes on, the worse it gets for them but they can’t stop themselves.

It’s the kind of thing that even an otherwise OK person like the Huck can fall victim to. That NEED for the adulation of the masses.... They’d be better off getting hooked on smack.

I think thats not up for debate, the number of fat people in the country is too high. I also think the federal government shouldn’t be playing the role of surrogate parents like the Obama’s apparently believe.

Indeed. And the last I saw, none of the Palin kids are fat slobs like the Huckleberries.

This BS defies description. Maybe we should submit it for arbitration to our 230 pound hippo Surgeon General.

If I flew (I don’t any longer, or go to the movies) I would fly with either Governor Hucklebee or the First Lady.
If a window cracked and blew out, either could plug the hole with just one of their massive posteriors.

This is part of a pattern by Huckabee recently. He said that government is like a marriage and Republicans need to compromise and shouldn't try get what they want and that Sarah Palin is extreme. Now he says that a stupid and expensive government program to control what children eat is a good idea and that Michelle Obama is right and Sarah Palin is wrong. Huckabee goes on The View and Joy Behar says he is her favorite Republican.

Huckabee is a slimeball and a backstabbing phony. I wish he would just shut up and go away.

What’s interesting to me is you can see how busy the Palins are and besides that they get, from what I can tell, a more healthy diet with the grass fed meat, all the fish, etc.

If kids are busy and stay away from a few things like pop and chips we wouldn’t have such a huge problem.

“Michelle Obama's not trying to tell people what to eat or not trying to force the government's desires on people,” Huckabee said.

Actually, she is trying to tell people what to eat or not eat, and she is trying to expand government and force her elitist desires on the Nation.

Oh really? Since when did we consider stories that ran TODAY (check the time stamp on the Politico article I reference) to be old?

If it bores you then find a thread that doesn’t :-)
