As The Left Continues Their Disgusting Exploitation Of Murder, The Call For Censorship Gets Louder

What goes through the mind of the lefties when they bring up crap like this? Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-ME):

A good place to start a more civil dialog would be for my Republican colleagues in the House to change the name of the bill they have introduced to repeal health care reform. The bill, titled the ‘Repeal the Job Killing Health Care Law Act,’ was set to come up for a vote this week, but in the wake of Gabby's shooting, it has been postponed at least until next week.”

~~~
“…is it really necessary to put the word ‘killing’ in the title of a major piece of legislation?”
The word killing will now cause people to go insane and mass murder all they see. As will music:
In particular, a pounding metal song used as the soundtrack for the lone video Loughner marked as a favorite on YouTube — one in which an American flag is burned by a hooded man — contains lyrics that reference bodies hitting a floor. The video for the song itself — a 2001 release from the band Drowning Pool titled “Bodies” — features one of the band’s members screaming instructions to what appears to be a mental patient housed in an insane asylum.
“You’re never sure what caused an individual to commit a specific act,” Brad Bushman, a communications and psychology professor at Ohio State University, told the Washington Post’s J. Freedom du Lac. “But I’ve been doing research on violent media for 20 years, and the evidence is that it leads to aggressive behavior. It’s not the only factor that leads to violence, but it’s one of them.”
Movies come next I'm sure. And video games.
Is this the route the left really wants to take? Censorship and restricting freedom of speech?
Really?
All to drum up some political points.
I mean we could point to the rhetoric from their side of the aisle....albeit it's not as violent as the word 'killing' is:
Sigh....
But still they cling:
[VIDEO AT SITE]
Well it’s clear from his web postings that he had picked up some of the extreme right positions, such as that our currency is not real currency, etc. You do hear that in the blogosphere on the extreme right.
Screw the Left. They intend to be the sole authority on what will be censored.
Unabomber essay urges attacks on 'techno-industrial system'
In an article published this spring by Green Anarchy, a radical environmental newsletter, [unabomber Ted] Kaczynski calls on revolutionaries to "eliminate the entire techno-industrial system" by "hitting where it hurts" and disparages the activities of most radicals as "pointless."
From the Wall Street Journal
NOVEMBER 24, 2007
Oswald was a dedicated communist who had defected to the Soviet Union in 1959 out of disgust with American capitalism. After becoming disillusioned with Soviet life, he returned to the U.S. in 1962. In early 1963, he bought a scoped rifle through the mail and soon used it to fire a shot (which missed) at retired general Edwin Walker, the head of the John Birch Society in Dallas. In the summer of 1963, Oswald was active in street demonstrations in support of Castro. In September 1963, he visited the Soviet and Cuban embassies in Mexico City seeking a travel visa that would allow him to travel to Cuba.
Oswald was among the radicals of the time who saw Third World revolutionaries like Castro as the wave of the communist future. He was well aware of Kennedy's efforts to overthrow Castro's regime. As a Senate investigative committee suggested in 1975, Oswald shot Kennedy to interrupt his administration's plans to assassinate Castro or to overthrow his regime in Cuba.
Ignoring Oswald's communist links, journalists and political leaders quickly claimed the president was a martyr to civil rights. Earl Warren said that Kennedy had "suffered martyrdom as a result of the hatred and bitterness that has been injected into the life of our nation by bigots." Martin Luther King said the assassination had to be viewed against the backdrop of violence against civil rights marchers in the South. James Reston wrote in the New York Times that "something in the nation itself, some strain of madness and violence, had destroyed the highest symbol of law and order."
The consensus opinion was that Kennedy was a victim of hate and bigotry, a casualty of his support for civil rights. The Cold War and Kennedy's ongoing feud with Castro were rarely mentioned as factors behind the assassination. The reasons? Mrs. Kennedy wanted her husband remembered as a modern-day Abraham Lincoln. Lyndon Johnson feared complicating relations with the Soviet Union. Liberals feared a replay of the McCarthy period, when the Wisconsin senator inflamed public opinion about fears of domestic communism.
History has proven that people like today’s liberals are dangerous. Who else has advocated killing political opponents and restricting their freedoms?
For years, the left has had an agenda: stop normal people from criticizing them. They obviously can’t do this, since there is the annoying obstacle called the Constitution.
Within one minute of the murders, the left saw its opportunity to put people in jail for any thought that they don’t like.
They know that the only toxic talk is on the left, but they don’t have the same standards of truth as normal people so it doesn’t bother them.
For libs, this tragedy, like all tragedies, is a political opportunity...nothing more, nothing less. That’s the way they see the world. That is why no one marches on Washington to protest the fighting in Afghanistan. You can bet that if McCain were president, there’d be marches on a weekly basis. Most leftist are nothing more than callow, hypocritical opportunists.
Here is a nifty class from the social studies dept of his Mountain View High School:
What is Model U.N.? | Is Mountain View good? | Class Expectations
Reasons to Join | Other Questions | Important Dates
What is Model United Nations? - Model U.N. is an academic club, aligned with AP Comparative Government, that travels to conferences locally and across the country to compete. Our students are assigned a country to represent at the U.N., and write papers outlining their country's position on current issues ranging from solving global warming and alleviating poverty to securing peace in troubled regions. They then travel to a conference and act as a delegate from their country in a simulation with students representing other countries. Those who write the best papers, and most effectively act out the role of a delegate, win recognition at the conference.
Back to Top
Is Mountain View good at Model U.N.? - Why, of course! We consistently win “Best in Conference” along with numerous individual awards, and our out-of-state conferences are collegiate conferences where we compete with colleges and universities from across the country and the world. We regularly win recognition at the collegiate level!
Back to Top
What would be expected of me in this class? - Any student enrolling in AP Comparative Government (SS 56) will be expected to do the following:
•Compete at 4 Model U.N. conferences: CGCC in November, MCC in February, NMUN in New York in March or April, and the UCLA collegiate conference in April.
•Raise money through collecting ECA donatinons and other fundraising activities with the club to pay for travel to these conferences. (Students in 2008-09 needed to raise about $1600 per person for all travel expenses.)
•Fulfill all regular class obligations for AP Comparative Government
•Take the AP Comparative Government test in May
•Possess and use a high level of research and writing skills
Back to Top
Why should I join? - You will engage in an intellectually stimulating activity that will make you more well-rounded and looks great on college applications. You will have the chance to travel and see new places, enjoy the camraderie of others in the club, and experience the thrill of victory after a year of hard work!
