why you should watch -
National Review Online January 27, 2011 By Clifford May [In mid-January]", Canadas Free Thinking Film Society love that name was scheduled to screen Iranium, a new documentary about the regime that has ruled Iran since 1979, its drive to acquire nuclear weapons, and the dangers that poses to the West. But then the Iranian embassy complained and coincidently threats and suspicious letters were received at the National Archives in Ottawa, where the event was to take place. The Archives cancelled the screening and shut the building."video report of threats and fallout
About the film Iran does not want you to see:
"Iran's nuclear program presents a threat to international stability. Yet successive American administrations-Republican and Democratic alike-have misread the intentions and actions of the Iranian regime. How dangerous is a nuclear Iran, even if it never detonates a weapon? What are the guiding principles of the Iranian leadership? To what lengths would the regime go to carry out its agenda? How far have Iran's leaders already gone to fund the world's most powerful terrorist organizations? And why have American leaders failed to gain the upper hand in relations with Iran during the past 30 years?
In approximately 60 minutes, Iranium powerfully reports on the many aspects of the threat America and the world now faces using rarely-before seen footage of Iranian leaders, and interviews with 25 leading politicians, Iranian dissidents, and experts on: Middle East policy, terrorism, and nuclear proliferation.
*Iranium documents the development of Iran's nuclear threat, beginning with the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and the ideology installed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini.
*Iranium tracks Iran's use of terror as a tool of policy, beginning with the 444 day seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, through Iran's insurgent actions in Iraq and Afghanistan. *Iranium details the brutal nature of the Iranian regime to its own citizens, and the Iranian people's desire to rejoin the international community. *Iranium outlines the various scenarios the greater Middle East and the Western world may face should Iran cross the nuclear threshold. In order for Iranium's important message to have maximum impact, we need YOUR help. Oh my. I watched it. That is the most frightening thing I’ve ever seen. Yet, every American MUST see it.
Have you seen this?
Iranium on line
Thanks dervish (and thanks FARS for a link in another ping).
Yes, it is profoundly disturbing. Worrying in how much was missed the past 3 decades, the growing threat to us and the the rest of the West, but with a little hope if we don't keep sitting around doing nothing. (Fat chance, with the Zero in charge.)
It was shown at a church in the area, and the church (seats about 1500) was nearly full. We saw a lot of conservative Republican friends from so many campaigns over so many years there; I would extrapolate that that was the vast majority of the audience. A good education for them.
Not many Iranians, but I saw one fellow I know (by face) from the pro-Iranian-freedom rallies. Smiled when he saw me.

Might have been interesting to talk to him afterward.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I will
I sent it to several people. It has to get out there.
