Glenn Beck has always been known as someone to make some fairly bold and strange predictions, but the protests in Egypt may have given birth to a Beck prophecy on a whole other level. Beck has said that the Egyptian uprising is not merely about an oppressed and impoverished people fighting for their rights, but instead, Beck sees the uprising as an effort by radical Muslims and socialists to establish a one world government called a caliphate. Under Beck’s theory, the caliphate will eventually lead the “end of the Western world as we know it.” Beck has warned his viewers that the revolution is not merely about Egypt, but about their own towns, homes, and way of life...

>>”...he may be right, but who can take him seriously? Really...”<<

I guess that would be restricted to those that are knowledgeable and educated about the stated goals of radical Islamic Jihadists, whose sworn mission is to rule the world under Sharia law.

Read your Koran. It’s all in there.

...”he may be right, but who can take him seriously? Really”...

I take him seriously because I think for myself, I have lived a lot of history, I have read history and I have personal experience out there in the world. As far as I can see, Glen Beck is just about the only person telling it like it is. He does not recklessly tell it..He tells it in the words of those who want world wide revolution. When I first discovered Glen Beck, I just watched and studied what he had to say..I did my own research and, afterwards, I became a steady fan. I have now concluded that we are living in a young and middle adult generation who have at least dabbled in mind altering drugs and some have more than dabbled and that this plays a far larger role in the media madness we see and read than we could possibly know. The more insane in those generations seem to have ended up supportive of a media off in la-la land where they think they could actually make a pack with the devil and survive. They treat the chaos in the world as some kind of sport akin to the Super Bowl where everyone will whoop and holler, play dirty for their side, and then go home to their nice itty bitty lives protected by others who paid the price for that one-of-a-kind freedom over these 200 plus years in America. My opinion is that Glen Beck is prophetic in what he is telling us and you would do well to listen, boys and girls, because if you do not change your act soon, your golden age of self absorption may be very short lived from here on out. The boys and girls who could take over your nation will not tolerate you for more than a second after they take power. This may not happen overnight, but with the dishonest media we have and the cooperation of the many different groups who have only their envy and hatred of American to bond them with a zeal which comes only from the need to destroy, it could happen soon. Then, those groups will fight it out among themselves. The most brutal will win. I suggest you take Glen Beck seriously enough to watch him for a couple of weeks. Open your mind. It is the only way to come to know the truth.

Eight Commandments of the Left.

I Thou shalt create an illusion of invulnerability shared by most members to foster excessive optimism and encourage extreme risks taking

III Thou shalt promote collective efforts to rationalize in order to discount warnings, or other information that might lead members to reconsider their assumptions before they recommit themselves to their assumptions

IV Thou shalt reinforce stereotyped views of enemy leaders as too evil to warrant genuine attempts to negotiate, or as too weak and stupid to counter whatever risky attempts are made to defeat their purpose

V Thou shalt self-censor any deviation from the apparent group consensus, inclining each member to minimize the importance of their doubts and counterarguments

VI Thou shalt create and maintain a shared illusion of unanimity concerning judgement conforming to the majority view

VII Thou shalt apply direct pressure on any member who expresses strong arguments against any of the group’s stereotypes, illusions, or commitments, making clear that this type of dissent is contrary to what is expected of all loyal members

VIII Thou shalt appoint mindguards to protect the group from adverse information that might shatter their shared complacency about the effectiveness and morality of their decisions

II Thou shall not allow any member to question the group’s inherent morality, instead members shall be encouraged to ignore the ethical or moral consequences of their decisions

Soros seems very involved. He uses some of the same formulas. Rent a mob, propaganda through media, think tanks to funnel money into his operatives. Plus He hates Israel. He was promoting ICG El Baradei in a new Egyptian publication he started in April 2010.

The attacks on Beck in the media will only get stronger as Soros is exposed . The articles won't dispute the facts.

...”As far as Glenn, yes, I find him annoying at times with the crying, his delivery but I love his passion to point out:

How our history is being hijacked, 8 school districts now teaching that a Muslim discovered America, etc.

The history of civil rights, slavery, was the Republican party not the Democrat Party.

The Czars in Obama’s WH, the power of the EPA, Sierra Club, taking over of the lands of private citizens, etc.

In other words, tune out the delivery, focus on the facts he gives. Like another poster here said: He doesn’t ask you to believe him, but do research the facts he provides, make your own decision.

His passion and love and patriotism for our country means more to me then his annoying delivery of content on his show”...

Thank you for this fact-filled post. So many people do not ever seriously watch or listen to what is going on.

GB is pushing the limit on the predictions. People are fed up with being scared crapless for 3 hours plus an hour on TV. He’s done a lot of good and has been critical in opening eyes with his research but

I think many of us who "get it" get tired of constantly hearing it. Others are hooked because the "excitement" releases endorphins and they are addicted to it. Same thing happens with cults.

But then some people said the same thing about that guy out there, "a voice crying in the wilderness."

Do I think Beck is a prophet from God, uhmmm no, but he is addressing our season's lack of common sense. And he does attempt to put through a path in what will surely become our wilderness.

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. -- Isaiah 40: 1-3 (KJV)

He's been really getting into an almost Armageddon mode lately. We don't know that is what is going to happen, only God knows. But, we can use our common sense to "see" that our times are changing and a dark age is breaking across the world. We've been very foolish with our liberty and freedom. We, as a country, are unprepared and in denial of how dangerous our situation truly is.

Beck, crying in the wilderness a river of crocodile tears?

So, you do not believe radical Islam’s continuing attacks on the West and Christianity have, as their end game, a world governed by radical Islam? And you do not believe these very same people when they say frequently and publicly their destiny is to convert the Infidel to Islam, enslave me and/or kill me. And you do not believe them when you see them doing excactly that?

Which begs the question: What exactly do you believe Islamo terrorism is meant to achieve?

Why, exactly, do you think that the followers of islam continue to blow themselves, their friends, their families and their enemies up?

They can never get to first base with a reformation, because the quran is plain on this point.

Those who say Islam needs a Reformation don't know what they're talking about.

The Protestant Reformation, at least in its origin and intent, was an attempt to return to the written basis of Christianity, removing the accretions of tradition.

That is exactly what the Islamists are attempting to do for Islam.

Islamism IS the Islamic Reformation.

What it teaches is a whole lot closer to what Mohammed taught than people of the West would prefer.

Some folks here haven't been watching Beck for a while.

I was one of his biggest critics on this forum, decrying his evangelistic fervors and saccharine, monotonous and many times, rambling, academic lectures.

That being said, I'm sure I'm not the only one here that noticed a sea-change after Glenn returned from the lengthy holiday break. With just an occasional lapse, he's swung right into the investigative and exposure mode he and his brilliant staff of researchers do so well. The preachy, maudlin sermonizing and professorial lecturing are pretty much over with for now.....and I hope it doesn't return.

As far as his style goes, yes, he tends to employ many dramatic devices of "too-cuteness", sentimentality, ham-iness, dire-ness and a host of other emotive tools to get his points across.

However, this is because it's the television age....and if he droned on and on at his chalk-board or in a chair explaining his facts and figures without putting on some dramatic or comedic flourishes as "theatrical relief", he would not have a single viewer watching his show.

Beck is not a clown, although he likes to clown around once in a while. He's a common-sense man, a shrewd observer of human nature plus a knowledgeable businessman. He knows that for television purposes, some "show biz" must be interspersed with education especially when his subjects are the deadly, black, numbing, dehumanizing aspects of evil....namely, communism, fascism, totalitarianism, marxism, Islamism, atheism, socialism, relativism....and Obama-ism.

We freepers are so very politically well-educated that often Beck's antics pall on us, or make us impatient, but we should cut him slack because these very antic devices he employs attract a huge audience of skulls full of mush who enjoy his schtick....and who are being educated in spite of themselves because he knows how to present his show to attract and hold TV viewership.

So, those who have tuned him out should tune in again. He's been great with his exposes virtually every single day since he's adjusted his presentations. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

now if he presented his facts like Limbaugh does, I would probably watch him...

You're right.

I had also stopped watching him for a while because of his delivery style; it was becoming irritating.

He does seem to have changed his approach lately and jettisoned the "saccharine, monotonous many times, rambling, academic lectures" that you noted. I do think that he was attempting to appeal to newcomers to the world of politics, at the expense of losing long-time political junkies.

He's done some rejiggering, which is a good thing; he can be very effective on the attack when he loses his Elmer Gantry approach.

It is amazing to me that many people won’t listen or research what Beck has said based on trivial ideas like personality. You don’t have to like a person to understand or listen to him or her. Sort of like the question: would you rather a doctor who is cranky and rude and is an excellent doctor OR a doctor who you like, tells jokes, good guy but a mediocre doctor? Unlike O’Reilly, Fox news and the other “media” personalities, Beck dives into the nitty-gritty. He researches who is behind something, their history, how it can affect the country in the long run etc.. With respect to Muslims trying to essentially take over the world (one culture at a time), look at Britain. Look at France. Look at how many people are supporting Sharia law in this country. You may NOT like the message but don’t hate the messenger. IMHO

I’d call what you’re describing (radical islamism) a restoration rather than a reformation. People generally regard the Reformation as a movement that brought Christianity forward to more modern times, rather than a step back toward its pristine origins. However, you say potayto, I say pototto, we all know what we mean.
And Islam being what it is, I don’t think it’s possible to make a silk purse there. But many muslims do think so.
